  • Evening,

    Phew,just sat down.

Dailies done, and kitchen set to rights (sort of). Builders had been cutting stone for the kitchen window surround, so dusty kitchen again. OH has fixed the old window in place temporarily, as we can't order a new window until stonework is done. So, lots of dust wiped and mopped up, oven and hob cleaned as well, fridge cleaned out before the shopping delivery came. Email sent that I've been putting off.

YL when do you eat and sleep? You just seem to be working or driving the whole time!

LW hope your shoulder feels better soon x

    Evening all

Thank you Kaz for the couple of ideas. If you send something like curry, do you just cook the rice and add to the curry for your DH to reheat it altogether ?

Hope you soon get that shoulder sorted LW. Sending some gws vibes.

Gosh YL - you sound like you're a taxi Mum atm

Sounds like your kitchen starting to come together Bossy - how exciting. I've had my new kitchen for nearly two years and still happy with it.

I had one of my double wall cupboards cut in half, depth-wise IYSWIM, so the cupboard is same width and height and still has double doors. I then added three shelves just over the height of my spice/herb jars, one a bit higher, for taller tubs and pots and the bottom takes ketchups, pickles and chutneys etc. This means things are only one deep and don't get lost or forgotten.

Manic Monday ~ Kitchen and Dining room
    mop/vacuum floor
Clean out the fridge thoroughly.. and check the drain at the back! Does anything need to be used up?

Twinkling Tuesday ~ Living Room and Hall
    Vacuum floors and sofas
Paperwork clearance.. spend 15 minutes minimum sorting through those piles of paper.
Vacuum under furniture you can manage to move without hurting yourself

Wacky Wednesday - Bathroom and Study/Pc Area
    Clean floors in these rooms
Clean baths, toilets, (don't forget the outside!) and sinks
    Clear any clutter from desk
Dust PC and desk and wipe off those cup rings!!
Wipe keyboard, house phone, sockets, switches and mouse etc
Wash your bathroom mats, nets, clean blind/curtains etc
    Wipe down tiles in bathroom..
Clear a mega hotspot!.. shred it.. and fling it.. or just burn it!
    Extras
Wipe the skirtings, door and window frames in these rooms
Clean the radiators in these rooms
    HHI... a bit more gone!

Sending huge hugs, vibes, sticks and spoons and hugs to all as needed
Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday

    Boo!

My working hours are changing (I am getting my life back!) I'm no longer working 6 days out of 7. I've just had a 4 day weekend so feel rested and ready for 10-6 hours tomorrow (!). The house is looking ok as I have been on a decluttering blitz. The wheelie bins are full!

DS2 is 18 on Sunday. How did he get so old! 3 adult children. I must be officialy old now. Big family party here 50+ people on Sunday. I'm driving to Portsmouth on Friday to pick up a relative on Friday. Last minute cleaning will be done between cooking on Saturday!

    Morning all.

Nicki - have a great time with your friends.
Bossy - good luck with the college interview.

Catching up with some things from the list this morning quietly before the paid stuff. DD and her fiance are still asleep having arrived back from the airport in the middle of the night.

    Have a great day everyone.

Hugs, good wishes, coping vibes sticks and spoons where needed
Busy all day so will catch up later
Went to see a great film on free preview tics last night, sing street full of 80s music like the cure, duranduran etc about a young lads from Dublin who doesn't fit in at his new school and forms a band so a girl he likes will be in his videos -some of the scenes in the Catholic boys school were laugh out loud and the songs were great. I would recommend it if you fancy a good uplifting film.

Going to get ready for the day now, have a good one all and I'll catch up later

    Morning all

Bossy - good luck with your interview today.

I'm running on less than 5 hours sleep again :( As a result I've decided to scrap the errands in town today except for going to the bank as I have work to do this morning and then the make-up is going to have to go on to make me feel and look human (not to mention a second coffee & chocolate :p). I'll go later in the week instead when I'll have to go back to the bank again anyway and I can take my time. ;)

    So today's plan:

    Wednesday:
    Dailies: Beds, dishes, [STRIKE]laundry load?[/STRIKE], S&S kitchen, S&S bathroom,
Work: Accounts, label deliveries with new delivery day, bank, deliveries tonight.

I already have the towels in to wash, I'll put them on the maiden before I go out. I just need to finish destroying a couple of boxes (gave them to Zack last night and he had great fun tearing them up but some of the pieces are still big) then get on with the accounts so I can pay money into the bank.

Off to make another coffee and get stuck in to destroying those boxes.
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

    Morning all.

Best of luck with your interview, Bossy.

DH and I are getting our money's worth out of the NHS while we can. He had an appointment with one of the GPs yesterday and has to go for a chest xray today. In the same practice, this morning I have to see one of the nurses for a Hep A booster and then this afternoon I have an appointment with a different GP. All booked since Sunday, pigpen - pity you're not in our area.

    My list for today:
    - WMx4 inc towels and bathroom mats
    - Empty and clean out bathroom bin
    - Clean baths, toilets, and sinks
    - Wipe down tiles in bathroom
    - Clean shower screen
    - Clear clutter from desk
    - Dust PC, desk and shelves
    - Wipe keyboard, house phone, sockets, switches and mouse etc
    - Prepare for this evening's course
    - Publicity for German choir visit
    - Nurse appt 10:40
    - Dr appt 14:00
    - Quick visit to local MrS to get points

Happy Birthday to your DS2 for Sunday, Mumto5 - but you're not old until your children are grandparents themselves, and then you can revert to childhood! Very pleased to hear that you've got better working hours now.

(((Hugs))), spoons and sticks all round, as needed, and defrosting vibes for your painful shoulder, LW.
Hope everyone has a good day x
