Yep that about sums it up. Its really getting to me - we live in the middle of nowhere so the kids cant go anywhere or do anything unless we take them. Now that DS1 is working and I am juggling 2 jobs its a nightmare. We really need to move house but then I would have to get DS2 to school and home again every day which would be 10 miles each way.
Anyhow today was a little better because DH was able to pick DS1 up from work. Tomorrow will be difficult though.
Glad the college interview went well today Bossy. Ringworm can be nasty, vaguely remember my Dad having it once. Hugs CY. Right, bedtime.0 -
Hugs CY- hope it disappears soon.
Not much done here today either. Little miss had jabs, I had physio and ds1 had swimming: in between I did some dailies, some laundry and swept and mopped the kitchen and utility floor. It was disgusting!!!!!
List for tomorrow...
Hhi x 4
Wipe units and large appliances!
Twinkling Tuesday ~ Living Room, Hall and Stairs
Dusting, even if around everything
Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe
Clean TV, other electricals and cabinets
Wipe light switches, sockets (make sure they are not switched on!!) and banister
Tidy coats. wash any that need washing.
Extras
Get yourself a bag or box, go around collecting things that are not in the place they should be
Wacky Wednesday - Bathroom
Clean baths, toilets, (don't forget the outside!)
Wipe down tiles in bathroom
Empty and clean out all the upstairs bins! (the proper bins not the rooms that look like bins!)
Clean shower screen/curtain if you have one/if required
Clear a mega hotspot!.. shred it.. and fling it.. or just burn it!!Grocery challenge- feb 2015- £133.07/£2500 -
Great news Bossymoo
Less great CY or LW. I'm still religiously doing my shoulder exercises, the physio gave me a resistance band and I have 2x12 of one exercise and 1x10 of another. I've now started doing them on the good arm or I will look really weird. Despite them, I had a really bad night with it last night, couldn't get comfortable. So no late night report writing for me.
Lovely Mr N kindly offered to help me clear a space in my study as the mum of tomorrow's student want somewhere to sit and work while I'm assessing her son. Eeek. Between us we have bound and box-filed all the paperwork for assessments I have written since 2012. 11 box files full so about 110 assessments!! As they were previously in piles, in a range of boxes etc and now fit on 2 shelves, it has made a huge difference. Even if all I do tomorrow is pile everything else which is on the floor into 1 large box, it will look 100% less embarrassing. May even hoover it.
What else have I done lately?
- paid in 2 cheques; I hardly ever get cheques, and very rarely go to an actual bank. Luckily there is a S&nt&nder branch at uni. One of the cheques was £5 refund/compensation for the cereal that was recalled owing to possible blue rubber (none of which I found).
- booked dentist
-watered greenhouse seedlings. Desperately need some time in there; hot weather has brought them on no end and they need repotting.
- another assessment at uni today.
- booked a webinar for tomorrow morning.
- made a detour specially so I could take library books back, having checked the closing time. Huh; I didn't check the opening time which was 2pm - 2.5hrs after I was there.
- all bookings made for Mr N's 'retirement' celebration. We've booked a B&B in Norfolk (got cashback already) for 2 nights. On the day, we will walk (5 mins) to the station, have a 40 min steam train ride, walk (10 mins) to pick up a hired canoe then paddle back to the start. Next day we are visiting friends and staying overnight with them.
tomorrow:
- finish making study presentable
- print off/label paperwork for assessment (2pm)
-webinar 10am
-think about other summer bookings; London Open Garden Squares, maybe theatre for Mr N's birthday in Aug, maybe Hampton Court Garden Show.
-and lots of flying of course.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
The retirement celebrations sound lovely Narco. I sound like a stuck record but working both jobs today, DS1 to collect from work, DS2 to collect from after school sports then home. Tonight is free so far so I might just get chance to sit down and put my feet up.
Right, sitting here in my pjs, no lunch made, no breakfast eaten and everyone else still in bed. I need to mooovve!!!0 -
Morning all
Hugs CY hope the infection clears quickly and isn't too painful
Great news bossy
YL hope you get some time to just breathe and take five
Pigpen a day just knitting sounds good to me, we all need some me time to
Recharge the batteries occasionally

Hoping to get hair done this morning, then pull a few quick jobs in before work. Would like to find time to make some cakes as its a charity day at school tomorrow to raise money for children's cancer. In memory of a former pupil. We wear pink, have fun and those who were at the school when she was think fondly of her.
Then got to go back to work for a couple of hours for a meeting. So my day is pretty full. Better make a start.SPC~12 ot 124

I've applied for the next level of my counselling training
Well, little sleep was had - Wet beds and shouty children in the night.
On the plus side, a book I ordered last week from Amazon arrived. It's a children's anxiety workbook. DS and I did a couple of chapters together after school - very pleased with it as already I'm starting to understand the nature of his worries (actually quite general worries about impossible things, rather than the more specific one I was expecting) and he is starting to see that there are things he can do to shrink them.
As coincidence would have it, school remembered they were supposed to be helping too, and the learning mentor saw him for the first time since before Easter. I got the book because I figured they CBA...
Right. WM is on, kids are dressed, bags ready so we're off to school!Bossymoo

Morning all.
Hugs, sticks, spoons and get well vibes as needed. I've been interrupted so many times I've forgotten what I was going to say to people!
No flying really yesterday except laundry which I didn't get a chance to hang on the maiden before I went out. Got home to find DD hadn't thought about putting it out on the line either (it was raining when I left, bright sunshine when I got home!) so its smelling a little dodgy now. I'm washing them through again as I have more towels to wash anyway.
Not much flying other than laundry planned for today at the moment either. I have approximately 80 books to sort and put out to customers, and other paid stuff to do as a priority. I got my tax credits renewal pack yesterday so I need to get my accounts up to date on the software and do my tax return then the tax credits so thats this weekends plans while DD is away.
Today:
Dailies: Beds, dishes, S&S kitchen, S&S bathroom,
Change batteries in DD's toothbrush
Work: Newsletters, books to school, books to customers, delivery x 2 (PM), returns
Laundry: towels, lights, darks, dog toys/towels/blankets
Tea: Pasta salad
Vacuum through downstairs
There will probably be more as I go through the day but for now that'll do me lol :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Morning all. Hope you're all ok today. Had a lie in and have been doing paperwork/finances. Going to spend 15 minutes on today's list and will then start the paid stuff. Lots of training to give today so hope my paid stuff pc speeds up a bit.
