Torquay, has Sainsburys, Tescos, Co-op, ASDA, Morrisons, and Lidl so if this thread is not total BS why does the OP keep going there?0

I've kept going there because waitrose is by far the shortest walk from my house. But I'll go to Tesco from now on, even though it's a lot further.0

I normally shop in Aldi or Lidl but sometimes go into Waitrose for a nice bottle of wine or some artisan cheeses. Do want to make a thing of it? We can settle it outside if you like, and I'll start by knocking that chip off your shoulder. The local builders and workers in their overalls, and stable girls in mucky jodhpurs who go to my Waitrose might join in too, but don't think they'd be on your side...0 -
I popped into Waitrose at Fleet Services (on the M3) and was really impressed by the way the staff treated me. I bought sandwiches and fruit for lunch and the woman serving me took my bag and packed my shopping. So very pleasant. I wouldn't hesitate to go back there0

Well, the Waitrose in my town has quite pleasant staff.
But I went to the one in Cambridge last month and they seemed almost affronted that I asked a question and the first person took me half way to someone else and then went off talking over his shoulder and leaving me to figure out who I was supposed to be talking to.0 -
One word springs to mind "exaggerate"!
I will add Troll.
Perhaps the OP can go argue with the Jonnymoneybags on the other Waitrose thread. Ah!!! But then Troll would be arguing with themselves.:rotfl:

I have always found Waitrose staff to be most helpful and agreeable. Yes, they are not the most intelectually gifted people in our fair country, but then they do work in a retail arena and are not employed to be so.
I dont like to argue with anyone if i can help it.0 -
" not the most intelectually gifted"
You said it..:D0
