  • We use the ebay API to do our searches, so it makes sense to search for the most common types of typos to keep the amount of calls we're making low. So we only search for letter omissions and letter switches :)

I've written some code to do 'natural' error searching (keys next to each other) and we might implement it at a later date if eBay raise our call limit.
  • I like it a lot, just added to my favourites!!

    Thanks,
    Sarah xx

Indeed! Though eBay are pretty generous allowing 5000 a day by default :)
  • Hi

We normally ask that site users don't advertise their own websites on the forum and Jo_b rightly took this thread down. As it could be useful to some MoneySavers though and it's good to get feedback we've decided to re-open it.

    Andrea :)
Could you do with a Money Makeover?

Excellent news that a precedent on acceptable own-site promotion has been set - my site where the thread was pulled has since gained popularity on another MSE forum, so can I now do a full sales pitch on it?!!confused-smiley-013.gif

The site's rule on advertising and posting links to your own site is as follows:

    ADVERTISING

This site is free from advertising. Posts on any board considered to be advertising goods, services and/or companies will be removed. We also do not allow advertising via PM

Examples of this can include anything from a specific sales post or a link to your own website in which you attempt to sell something to someone offering their holiday home to forum members. Unfortunately we cannot allow any advertising of any description no matter how honourable the intention.

This includes the Referrals Board (see below).

If you think you have a genuinely good deal please contact a Board Guide for the board you’d like to post it on. If they agree with you they’ll contact the MSE Team and it will be considered. Any final decision will be that of the MSE Team. Please do not question the response with the Board Guide.

I'll let the other MSE members sing it's praises on it's own thread then - currently the member that made the post has had 17 thanks for the OP!

    Internet Traffic reports are great!!

Too cryptic for me I'm afraid, I'm baffled.
    My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j
