Nice idea but I keep getting a message "undefined" when i try to select the categories.
Think i will stick to my favourite http://www.bargainchecker.com

I'm sorry to hear that. Can you do me a big favour and try it again? If it still isn't working, I'd like to work out how to fix it, in case other people are having the same problem too!0 -
Am I missing something? If I choose clothes it trawls through every item of clothing rather than being able to choose a specific section in that department - Girls clothes for example.0

Being able to provide results that specific would be quite difficult. Maybe you'd like to try our other website, http://typotracker.com? TypoTracker allows you to search for specific items instead.0 -

The thing is, if you want to search through clothes it will bring up everything and it is way too much to sit and trawl through. To be honest, I gave up after 15 minutes of it on the mini trawler thing and I had only got to items that had 2 hours to go. now if you had updated this site in the morning I can only assume these items had already finished and I would have to sit there for a good few hours before I managed to get to any current listings.
Don't get me wrong, the idea is a great in principle, there is a range of kids clothing that costs a fortune in Debenhamd but everyone spells it wrong and I was buying £45 dresses for £2 because no-one else spotted them. This is the kind of bargain I am looking for and in this respect, the typotracker does the same job as fatfingers and everyone knows about fatfingers. Do you see what I mean?
I think if it was narrowed down to be more specific to the catagories (of course, not the sizes but at least being able to choose the sub catagory within that catagory (baby for example just brings up everything and those who have had babies might not want to trawl through tones of maternity stuff that is also on there)
Just giving the advice as you asked for it really, sorry if I offended you but I am too busy to sit trawling for hours to get anything current up. I understand the restrictions you have but I can't see it working long term if you have to get through all the ended items for half an hour before anything current comes up. thats a mad waste of time and something I don't really have.0 -
Don't worry I wasn't offended in the slightest! Thanks very much for voicing your suggestion

Just one thing I'd like to clear up:
The 'ending in' time corresponds to the ending time of eBay itself, so all the items you'll ever view on TypoTrawler will be current... Click on an item and you'll see for yourselfnow if you had updated this site in the morning I can only assume these items had already finished and I would have to sit there for a good few hours before I managed to get to any current listings
Even though the site only updates a couple of times a day, it's a simple calculation to work out which items are current and which have ended
You have put forward a good argument to implement a even tighter filter of what to view. It's possible to do, but would be time consuming... the only reason this hasn't been done is because no one else has suggested it. Maybe other people are holding back!
It's already on the list of possible improvements... given time and others asking for it too, it'll probably find it's way into the site

Hi, just another update. We've implemented a custom search, so that you can enter a specific keyword (e.g. 'handbag') and it'll search the whole of eBay for all the misspellings of handbag. It works in exactly the same way as our sister site TypoTracker, but now you don't have to go between sites to search for something specific

Again, if you guys could test it and let me know if you're having any problems, it would be much appreciated
The next feature to come will be the ability to select even deeper subcategories (i.e. enabling you to select just 'Girl's clothing' inside of 'Clothing') as suggested by blue_monkey. Stay tuned!0 -
I just found your site after reading an old email from Martin. I wish I hadn't bothered....I can't bring myself to stop watching it. I think I'm becoming addicted!0

Typotrawler's strong suite is the way it can make a search into a slide show. I'd like such a search tool for correctly spelled items!0
