Case opened and money refunded. Item never arrived and feedback left for ignorant seller. I always praise sellers 99.9% of the time but on this occasion it had to be a negative.

It really does not matter if it has not passed the due delivery date. The seller could not be bothered to mark it as despatched, it is no wonder the OP is fretting about if it is going to turn up. There is no need to ignore messages or give sarcastic replies to enquiries. Really it is no wonder some sellers are struggling with sellers like this giving as a bad EBay experience

    I quite agree.

I bought something on the 4th May estimated arrival yesterday turns out now they only posted it today.

Assuming It actually does arrive neutral feedback on the way...

Sorry to say this but when you start chasing something up before the due date, and then low and behold! It doesn't arrive on the due date or thereafter, it does look suspect to the seller. Also, I get asked why I haven't sent the dispatch email, when it's automatic, have you looked in your spam folder. The seller doesn't turn the email on for some buyers and off for others which would be ridiculous.

Again, and I have underlined this already a few times. Because I did not get a despatch notification via email or in the status of the auction on my Ebay account I just wanted confirmation of despatch. I got no response. I then got suspicious (after reading similar negative feedback issues) so emailed again. I got a rude, sarcastic and cryptic "Freeeeeee" which heightened my suspicians as to the seller's integrity. Nothing ever arrived and still hasn't. Other buyers have since left bad feedback with the same issues. Then folk here beat me up for just asking politley if it had been send and defend an absolute disgrace to selling on Ebay.

What I don't understand is how this person is thriving with so many complaints, a stinking attitude and possible lies about having the item to sell in the first place. My gues is they hope some will forget that they had purchased a small item and never complain hence free money.

And yet I, with 100% feedback, honest service, and 16 years selling cannot sell anything anymore while these sharks thrive. It just goes to show (and by the response of some here) that it doesn't pay to play by the rules with honesty and integrity. That's why Ebay for me is a waste of time.

Yeah I've had one recently where I bought an item on the 1st of May, chased it on the 10th and was told "will post out ASAP" -- not even an apology. Still not despatched today today so I've raised it with ebay and have requested a refund.

Neutral if it arrives in the next week, neg if it gets to refund stage.

Just tried to trace the tracking and it says number is invalid!

What is it with some of these sellers!

Yes, just a quick message to say sorry for the delay would keep me happy.

Seller quite clearly in the wrong.

If they are a business seller they should absolutely be sticking to deadlines and communicating properly. They deserve to be hassled if they don't deliver.

Since then I have purchased 2 items off different sellers that came within 2 days and great communication. Suffice to say they got excellent ratings from me. I wonder how these folk make a living on Ebay with such a poor attitude.

You need to stop equating speed of delivery with quality of service.

If you want quick delivery, that's fine and your perogative, but seek out the sellers offering the service. Not all sellers can post stuff the same or next day.

You've made several mentions in this thread that you regard sellers who cannot post quickly as lacking.
