So you moved home but stuck with the same Landlord?
Now you are unhappy with him because of the heating which is ultra-efficient biomass but shared?
Somehow you are finding it ...helloeeveryone123 wrote: »more expensive than oil.
How do you know?
Something sounds not quite right here.
It's nearly summer, turn it off and see what happens.
Let us know.

Noooo freecall, its not the same LL its a different one , he just asked what the other rent was, similar property. He wants to put up next door neighbours rent but she is 81 and he avoids her like the plague as she wants shelves up and her radiators put in.
Cant turn it off as we will have no electric .
In my opinion Biomass is not as cheap as oil . and its only efficient as the operator , its always going out and needs lighting again, (he is getting bored doing it now) too much commitment for him.
Next door wants to annoy him as much as poss as he hasn't held up to his side of the bargain, but is costing us at the same time0 -
We don't share cost as he used her container to put in the boiler, but we was told it would cost pennies as its hooked up to our electric0

What does the boiler burn?helloeeveryone123 wrote: »We don't share cost as he used her container to put in the boiler, but we was told it would cost pennies as its hooked up to our electric0 -
It burns logs which he supplies0

And who pays for them?.helloeeveryone123 wrote: »It burns logs which he supplies0 -
The LL gets a nice little handout from the government (12.2 pence per KwH) no doubt. Tell you neighbour not to use the heating if she doesn't need it.
As for the price, oil prices are now low, but are volatile."Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance" - Confucius0 -
I hope the LL isn't fleecing you on the logs. You really need to be more assertive. Learn how the relight the boiler yourself. Buy your own fuel. I sounds like this LL is thriving off gullible tenants."Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance" - Confucius0

He pays for the logs, well he cuts down his own timber from his own forest and fills up the boiler.
He has fallen out with the contactors as he owes them money for extras (which he is disputing) it ranges from 4k to 8k depending on the mood he is in.
Yep kinger he does get a payout, the neighbour gets it all free and just wont turn it down, people who visit her say they cant breath in her house, he wants us banging the heat out, which I wont do even more cost and its a waste.
The neighbour used to live in her cupboard where her old oil boiler was because it was warmer in there in the winter0 -
I know Kinger, really need to get more assertive or get out. But do like living here apart from fuel cost.
No not paying for logs0
