My magnolia (or Mongolia, as the predictive text keeps trying to correct it to...) is ablaze with beautiful lilac and white flowers. I'm guessing it is quite a few years old due to it's size, so I can't claim any credit for the care it must've received, but anyway....
Sorry to trample you Bossy...
Looking forward to a six hour round trip to get my van kitted out with made to measure dog cages for the hounds. Got Small off school due to the hall being used as a polling station, so two kids and three dogs on a road trip today....yay....
Hi Alibo  yes, routine is good. I really must start one lol. I flap rather than fly, but I do try, honest...
Hugs to all and a rocket to your doctor's surgery Piggers - they really suck.0 -
Morning All.
Apologies for non arrival in thread so far this week. How is it Thursday already?
I am fine. Had a couple of rubbish nights sleep due to plumbing leaks, but have come up with a solution and had a much better nights sleep last night.
Had another dose of chemo on Tuesday. Hopefully it is going fine. I don't feel too bad, all things considered. And hopefully it is a real positive that I feel much better than I did when went back in January...
Today I will be aiming to change DS's bed and sort some of the laundry in my bedroom.
Hope everyone is having the best day possible..:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Morning all.
 to CY - glad you're feeling better and getting sleep
Welcome to the thread Alibo. What's a routine? Every day is different here :rotfl:
I am jealous of Flyladies with a personal magnolia. There's no room for a big tulip-flowered type in my garden. I used to have a very pretty slow-growing magnolia stellata at a previous house: maybe I could find a suitable space for one here.
DH is back
I think he's forgotten how to make tea  Downstairs looks like a bombsite, with his things dumped in the kitchen, utility *and* DR, and our bed is completely rumpled up on his side because of his all-night tossing and turning. I tend to lie still and only have to plump up my pillows in the morning
I'm glad he's had a good time playing engine driver, though.
Today's list:
- [STRIKE]Check finances: current account swap due to be completed today[/STRIKE] (all OK so far)
- check charity bank account
- WM x3 (one in already)
- HHI
- sort out DS2's present
- book for conference in September
- book overnight stay next week so that we can visit friends up north
- finish preparation for Saturday's meeting
- more reading
- remind DH to go to U3A monthly meeting (he needs to collect something from another member)
- vote
- visit friend recovering from back op (today or tomorrow)
- church choir this evening
Not much actual flying, then! But hopefully enough to avoid getting a fluffy mule flung at me.
Pigpen, hie thee to A&E if your leg's still bad. Your GP surgery sounds like the one we left.
Hope everyone has a good day.
Is it Shed Day today, LW? Calming vibes coming your way...
(((Hugs))) spoons and sticks all round x0 -

... skids in to say I just can't keep up at the moment, but I am thinking of you All, especially CY. Great to hear you're feeling better this time around.
Alibo, at the end of every day we try to leave the kitchen ready for the morning so all the washing up is done. We put water in the kettle and lay up a tea tray for the early morning tea. That way, whoever is feeling bleary but gets up first thing doesn't have to do anything except press the switch.
I'm not surprised you couldn't keep up with the American Flylady - she sounds terrifying. I regard the day as a successful Mega Flying Day if I kickstart the vacuumm cleaner and run it over one floor of the house and swish and swipe the bathroom and kitchen.
Love the photo Pigpen. They look so happy!
Off to the chalet to see if Bee&Queue will be able to persuade the GPO to deliver something. I doubt it. If I'd known they were going to use Parcel Force I'd have Clicked and Collected rather than have to spend a whole day waiting for a parcel I don't think will arrive. I might do a fair amount of flying over there because it needs waking up from hibernation.
Don't forget to vote!Better is good enough.Note to self: Motivation follows Action, not the other way around.0 -
Morning all
Pigpen - hope today is a better day for you.
Albio - Welcome to the thread
There's only me and my teen DD here (plus our dog) so the house usually stays pretty tidy which makes things easier for me. My morning routine, once DD has left for school, is gather laundry and if there's enough for a load put one on, make the beds, tidy any stray items away in the bedrooms and bathroom, wipe over the bathroom sink, tidy the kitchen and wash up if there's enough dishes to warrant it. Evening routine is tidy up the livingroom (or the dog might snack on something in the night again ), tidy the kitchen, make sure there's bread for the morning and if I'm particularly organised I might get the stuff out for breakfasts/packed lunch the next day. When I used to go out to my voluntary job/training I also used to get my clothes/toiletries out and lined up ready to use, bags as ready as possible and I kept any breakfast/lunch stuff from the fridge in a basket so I literally opened the fridge in the morning, grabbed the milk & the basket and was ready to go. Now I work from home so its no longer an issue
CY - Glad to see you. Take it easy
Hugs, sticks, spoons & vibes to those I've missed.
I didn't get back from my sisters until nearly 9pm so nothing except some tidying up in the kitchen done last night. I also fell asleep before I could revise the Mr A delivery coming tonight, so thats 48 tins of dog food & 24 toilet rolls coming :rotfl: I have enough other stuff in that I shouldn't need to go out to Mr A until Sunday now when I'll drag DD to help me as its mainly her lunch stuff we need.
So far today I've...got dressed and run to the corner shop for lunch stuff for DD. I had terrible munchies yesterday and ate all the snacky stuff without realising
:o:o I honestly thought I'd put stuff away in the cupboard but obviously not. At least I remembered, even if it was 2am in the morning when I realised :rotfl: I've been sat at the computer going through all the election stuff for today as we have Mayor, PCC, and local council votes to cast. I asked DD for her opinion on the Mayor one (we had a booklet so I gave her it to read) and she picked the same 2 as me. The other two are going to be a case of which is the lesser evil
So todays plan is to smother myself in suncream or I'll be as red as a postbox by lunch time, go and vote, come home then take Zack for a long walk. I don't know what's got into him today but he's bouncing literally!! I've got him running around the livingroom chasing his toys in the hopes of wearing him out a bit before I take him out or I may end up in Manchester! Mr A is coming between 7-8pm in theory and DD is out at a club after school until at least 4.45 when its supposed to finish so I have plenty of time to fly when I get home as I doubt I'm going to be out until gone 4pm. Also flying will be easier with a worn out dog, he won't be trying to eat the vacuum cleaner :rotfl:

I'm not voting, it is too far to walk..
OH is at dentist in a bit so heading off there.
I'm going to attempt to get to the post office at the end of the street, with Pixie in the pushchair.. sitting still isnt going to help my leg and could make it worse!
Lynne.. I don't do A&E.. I spent 3 weeks with a wrist fracture rather than go sit there for hours wasting time with a bunch of bleeding drunks.. I can almost bear the Gp once a year at a push.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
