  • Morning

Beautiful here, so out in the garden today, mowing grass etc.
And washing, which is always expanding.
Yesterday OK, did dailies plus changed kids beds and got all the bedding washed, put another coat of varnish on the new hall floor, took dog for a nice long walk and then had a lovely evening with friends.

Today, as I said I will mow the lawn, bit of garden tidying, weeding, I've a couple of plants to put in, plenty washing to hang out on the line. Which leads to ironing. Also would like to start on decorating our new bedroom, as we are so close to moving in to the new downstairs. Kids bedroom done, hallway done, bathroom nearly done.

Blimey I am wittering on when I could be doing stuff! Have a good Sunday everyone x

Well done ionafan what will you be studying? I have my assessment for college on Wednesday:)

Very peaceful here, birds chirping, sun shining, washing x2 out on whirligig and I'm alternating between sorting my office cupboard and sitting in the sun ;) expecting kiddies home in a couple of hours.

I've put a metal box file on the local faceache page for free - sat empty in a cupboard for how long? Anyway, flinging and rehoming has allowed me to fit the pressure washer in said cupboard which I'm over the moon about - has been sat in my office for about a year, unopened until last month! Now the patios are all clean it can be stored until next spring.

Sorted a pile of stuff that my mum wants, in dining room. Not ideal but it's out of my way until I can get it to her - hopefully later this week.

Last night I dusted and vacced all upstairs, made DD bed and piled all her floor-carp into a laundry bag. She will have to find home for it or we will give it away... Also cleaned the sinks and loos, bathroom floors and windowsills. Need to sort DS bed today, and he has some tidying to do too - train carp s expanding...

Having said that, my journal carp is laying on the conservatory floor where I left it last night too

Patio nearly finished - the slabs are all down, just some shingle to be brought in for where the shed's going to go; that will happen tomorrow, as they need to wait for the cement holding the slabs to harden first. We are instructed to use the door from the lounge to access the garden for now, not the back door (slabs outside the lounge are already set in place as they were done first).

Workmen have gone now, as they can't do any more now till that cement sets. It's looking good; they've put me a nice wooden handrail, much nicer than I'd envisioned. I suppose I just assumed it'd be a metal jobbie like the elderly lady who used to live in the corner bungalow had.

I may have to keep an eye on Dotty - one of the chaps has really taken to her! :rotfl:

We need to buy more breakfast tea and coffee beans - they've gone through literally gallons of both!

Ionafan well done - but I guess it's like they say about brain power: use it or lose it!

Piggers you're a brave lady taking on doing the kitchen ceiling. I bullied/bribed Mr LW into doing ours.

CY how are you doing with the warm weather, sweetie?
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Great news the patio is nearly done.
    And well done to Ionafan.

We've had a disappointing garage sale; hardly anyone has ventured our end of the village. They did offer for us to set up 'shop' at the village school, but a) we'd have had to pack and transport all the stuff and b) at least we have got a load of gardening done in the front, and Mr N has washed and currently polishing the motor bike. There's only about another hour to go, so looks like we will be heading for the CS some time this week. Not a lot of good for horse-related stuff though - so our garage will be re-cluttered soon :(

I've now retreated upstairs to write a bit of a report.

'Aga' still being a pain; packed up within an hour of the engineer putting a new transformer on it. He came back the next day, put something else on but last night it cut out as I was cooking dinner.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
It's tough getting rid of the past but it does free up space for the future.

Aww katiecat I'm sorry to hear about your dad. Take things easy for a little while and give yourself time to grieve, honey xxx

Well, miss moo is calling my bluff. She didn't look in the bag of stuff I cleared off the floor - just said she doesn't want it!!! "So I'm throwing away
Elsa, Ariel, Tinkerbell and your jewellery box? And this red tutu?" asks I. "Yes mum, I only want these two dolls" (the scrattiest, cheapest two).

Hmmm. The bag is now out of sight in the airing cupboard. Maybe she is crying out for me to clear out her stuff after all. I don't think she knows what to play with - she has so much... Bit of toy rotation might be the way forward. I'm not flinging those dolls - they cost a chunk of money!!!

In other news I've put all the washing away, got loads dried today so that's all sorted and uniforms ready for morning. Kids are bathed and washed of suncream- but I think they'll need more before school tomorrow. Everything is tidy.

I need to eat and to go on the jogger - step count is very low today - I've sat around a lot. But it's been too hot to be rushing anywhere. I haven't left the house / garden all day.
