Morning ladies
Just got back into bed with my cuppa - tea, coffee and juice sorted for all the children. Dogs are in the garden and I've shut my bedroom door on the mess in the playroom.
WM and TD both on, although TD is making a clanking noise  it's only 4 months old, so hoping it's nothing serious...
I've got a hair appointment later this morning, then we're off to Prezzo for lunch (thank you Tesco Clubcard boost). I've got painted toenails as I've got my sandals out :j
There are no floors except mud/clay downstairs as the restoration work has started and the archaeologist is visiting on Monday to have a dig about. I really hope he doesn't find anything interesting. But today it is sunny. And that is good.
No flying planned today - Yippee!0 -
Morning all.
Hope everyone is well. Shoulder improving vibes to LW.. I hope you have a great cruise too.
Yesterday was a write off. Spent on the sofa, but I feel so much better today.
Hopefully DH will.finally get a game of league cricket today. The Last two have been cancelled due to the weather, but today seems to be set fair.
DD2 coming over this afternoon - her OH also playing cricket today. And DD1 is popping in for tea.
Hope everyone has a good day.:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -

Morning all
Hugs, sticks, spoons & vibes to all.
Pigpen - Thanks for the reminder, I need bleach and forgot to add it to my list.
LW - Coping vibes being sent your way. It'll be worth it when its all done.
I got all the washing I wanted doing done yesterday, until I had a tidy up of Zacks storage baskets this morning (making room for the 15kg of dry dog food which will arrive on Monday!) and found his jumpers & hi-vis vest. Obviously we only use them in winter so they need a good wash as they really stink of dog (they've been put away without washing) and I'm going to re-wash all his fleece blankets and stuff at the same time in the hopes of removing some more stubborn hairs. I might as well while the weather is nice
I'll have to find somewhere to store the jumpers & vest. I'm thinking zip lock bag in the drawer with the gloves etc.
I've now got a problem with my alarm clock. Its lost its ability to tune into a radio station, and I couldn't get any of the presets working. The instruction booklet said it may have suffered from a power surge, so switch it off, remove the backup battery and leave it off for 3 minutes so it basically did a factory reset. I did this. This morning at 8.30am it was saying it was 4.08am  On the plus side, procrasting about getting rid of my donate boxes means I have my old alarm clock still so I'm going to dig that out and set it up.
DD helped me do some flying. Although we haven't completed it all, the house is looking much better. I've started compiling a big shopping list of all the little things I keep forgetting so we can go to Mr A tomorrow and hopefully get everything in one trip.

2 loads of washing done and out.. dry stuff folded
DW done and refilled with the few remaining dirty bits
Middle room UTTERLY trashed looking for a single trainer.. I did find it and have half filled a recycle bin so it wasn't all bad but now I have no chair to sit on and my legs are really painful and I am exhausted!
OH has just taken the 3 girls to a new gym session for children.. 45 minutes and it is basically dancing with ribbons and stuff they will probably love it.. and if they don't it's free so nothing lost! I was going to go with him and go peruse Dunelm and the carpet shop next door but I am just too tired.. so I'm going to sit here and sort my WIP basket! and see if I can face listing some bits to sell.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Do workmen breed?? There are three more here today than there were yesterday!
There's lots of noise going on out there - but I've drawn the curtains again, so I can't see what's happening. It does sound like slab-laying noises though, so that's good.
Mr LW is in the kitchen ready to provide coffee/tea/chilled water and to speak to them if they need to consult us about something; Dotty and I have taken refuge in the lounge - Dotty is currently fast asleep, having had a lovely long walk this morning, and made several doggie friends on the way.
We have decided to abandon our usual weekend tasks til the patio work is done, then try and give the bungalow one decent going-over in the time left before we go away.
We won't have the new shed by then - Mr LW has to contact a different company for that; but we're told to mention D's name (head honcho of the garden services people) and we'll get a good deal. They do "supply and fit" and my feeling is it's best to take our time and select a good strong shed that will suit our needs, not (as we had to previously) get whatever's cheap.
I had a letter from DWP this morning, demanding to know the details of my occupational pension increase - D'UH - Guys, ex-Civil Servant here. We're not getting a pension increase!! I shall sent them a scanned copy of the payment advice and newsletter, both of which detail "0% pension increase for 2016".If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
LW .. only as much as other humans breed
... maybe they are trying to get the work done as fast as possible so as not to cause you more distress than necessary. LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
LW echo what others said - grit your teeth, shut the door on them, stroke a dog or 2 and it will be over soon.
Physio did her usual yesterday (talking of gritting teeth).
Did church flowers this morning and hoovered church.
Rest of morning in garden sorting out hanging baskets, seedlings etc. Ok spent some time watching newts and frogs in the pond.
Mr N gone to collect MIL so she can sit in the garden and watch us work, then off to Mr A which apparently had gf stuff as 'special' on Thurs so will take a look - tho most has potato flour instead which I also can't eat.
Sorted out more stuff for tomorrow's garage sale.
Filled bird feeders again. No fairies.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
It's tough getting rid of the past but it does free up space for the future.0 -
Afternoon all
Hope everyone is as well as can be, hugs good wishes and coping vibes where needed.
Hope the work gets done quickly without causing too much stress LW.
Been lovely here this morning so got quite a bit of gardening done, shopping done, mils taken round, CS bag dropped off.
Waiting for the rain thunder and lightening to stop now. Thunder is only bugging me as its making the girls on the local park scream.SPC~12 ot 124

Glorious sun here. Laid on the conservatory floor with my journal, procrastinating. Kids are with inlaws. I'm having a quiet day. Was a bit short notice so not made any plans tonight.
Did pop to my mums to sort her laptop, but I'm not staying there - her house is noisy
I will go get the vac out upstairs I think...Bossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0
