Good Morning all,
Been up since 6.15 with the small people, who are currently watching Inside Out. Washing has been pegged out and another load is on the go. Will wake DH shortly, make bacon butties then go and do some visiting. DH will be going to the tip this afternoon then we will have a lazy time in the garden I think, so flying will be minimal but the place doesn't look too bad.
Have lovely days all xMFW

Morning all.
Busy yesterday - a full day of giving presentations, leading discussions and being interviewed, together with 5 other people. Thankfully it was non-competitive, but we were being assessed in every area, so not without its stresses! The organiser of the day rang me last night with my result, and I am delighted that my brain is still sufficiently intact for me to have been accepted onto a 2-year p/t academic training course starting in September. I shall probably be the oldest person on the course, as I only just scrape in before the age cut-off date. Maybe time to revise my wardrobe to blend in with the student population :rotfl: (Having said that, I went shopping in our cathedral city after we were let loose from the hothouse and bought - nothing
)
Does plumping up the cushions on the window seat and pouring coffee for other people count as flying? 'cos that's all the domestic work I did yesterday
Oh yes, and I phoned OH as I was about to drive home, to warn him that a thunderstorm was about to follow me up the A449 and to ask could he please mow the lawn before it reached our area. He did :A
Today I am going to relax and just do a bit more on the latest translation job, which is a pleasure. There was a possibility of DGD1+2 coming here for lunch, giving DDiL1 and DS1 peace and quiet for marking (he's out of school for an interview for one or hopefully two days this week, so needs to get ahead) but the girls are exhausted after a busy week at school so DS1 says they will be able to have a better after-lunch snooze in their own beds than here.
I've just checked our diary, and we have something on almost every day for the rest of the month - it's packed!
CY. I thought of you yesterday while watching the cricket practice on the county ground on the other side of the river from where we had our meeting. Take it easy again today, please.
I hope the wedding went well, Valli.
Have you dared to peek through the back curtains, LW? It will probably still look a bit of a bomb site, but the lawn areas will soon green up again, and plants grow at an amazing rate at this time of year.
Hope everyone has a peaceful Sunday x0 -
Morning all
DD is still in bed sleeping and I plan on leaving her there as long as possible. I have a wash load on as I ran out of time yesterday before it started raining. Its going to be another nice day so hopefully I can get everything washed and dried as apparently going to be 24c here today  I've also got the breadmaker on. Just making dough this time (I made a loaf last night) as I want to have a go at making sandwich thins myself. At £1 for 6 I'm sure I can get more for my money if I can manage to make them. I'm going to give DD £10 and send her to Mr A's for her packed lunch crisps etc, then book a proper Mr A delivery for Tuesday. She can also do the ironing while watching a film on the TV as I have paid stuff to do.
Sunday:
Laundry (towels x 2 due to the weight, dark, light, dog towels)
Baking
Mr A shop
Change beds
Showers for both
Work (forms, books, returns, newsletters, cards)
School stuff sorted
Ironing
Rubbish out (then I'll decide whether we're putting the wheelie bin out this week or not)
Best go switch the breadmaker on, and make some space on the worktop to roll the dough out. :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Wedding went well and lovely to see cousins for a happy occasion. M1 closed on way home so I opted out of the arguments about which way to go and had a nap. Woke to find we were lost in Nottinghamshire so shut my eyes and stayed out out it.

Morning all! I'm up and first load of washing is in - I can get soooo much more dried now it's sunny

Just off to a car boot sale (not as a seller!) and then planning on ice cream at the beach - if I can decide which of the 20 or so flavours to have!
CY - thinking of you x
LW - hope the work is going well x
ionafan - congrats! I'm not surprised you were accepted as you do so much to keep your brain active it wears me out just reading about it!! Fingers crossed for DS x
