worksurfaces scrubbed to death ad small appliances and units and large appliances..

it's almost looking habitable in there.

I think I am about to have a nervous breakdown.

Dotty arrived early (thankfully I was bathed and dressed - it took an hour and a half again, but this morning it included washing my hair, so it's an improvement over yesterday).

Workmen arrived late - they were held up on their previous job. Anyways, the shed has gone, as have the old patio slabs; the concrete block for the whirligig has been dug up, and they're making gods only know what amount of mess out there now, and a LOT of noise. I've shut the lounge curtains and left Mr LW to deal with them, as I just can't hack it.

I shall take Dotty for a walk in a bit, good excuse to get off the premises for an hour! :D

LW.. any mess can be dealt with when it is all done and it will look beautiful again and be safer for you.. this little bit of disruption means you can be safe at home for much longer, that has to be your focus.. I know it is horrid having people there but its not for long.. and escaping with the wooflet sounds like a plan!.. just keep the curtains shut and hide.. if necessary you could take a book to your room and hide some more! Sounds like all the stuff to go has gone.. I bet it is really bare out there when you peep when they've gone home!

Right.. loo, find more bleach and get my glovies on to sort this front door.. it WILL be presentable!

My front door is fluffed... I need a new one.. the wood is pretty much rotted through in some places.. I might actually cry.. it is a massive hardwood door, 130 years old.. getting it replaced is not going to be easy, or cheap.. I need it to be salvageable! and the fleece curtain needs to come down to be washed.. it smells of cat wee.

Guess I am going on a door hunt!

I was quoted £1500 to replace just the one door. (109x218)

Hugs LW I know you find it hard having workmen there, just try to think of the end game xxx

Not much done here today. Grocery shopping, another kitchen place (much better vibes) and then general end of school day stuff.

Have a lovely weekend everyone xxx

After an afternoon with the super y1 I had a couple of hours taking down a display then putting one up and tidying - there were 4 of us at it, then I came home and mowed the lawn...
    Clearly the asthma is improving...

    I've had 2 showers today!

Sorry been missing, hope every one is ok

Hubby gas started his own business and been really busy. So aswell as getting no help in house I've been helping him with parcels. Luckily he has been nipping kids to school in a morning as I get lots done in the 30 or more mins it would take me to go.

Informed all benefits so going to be in a muddle as some stop or change but some stay same so that helps

Whoa I am stiff this morning!
Have done 2 wash loads - DD clearly saw the almost empty basket as a challenge and added some and spilled squash on a throw! DD will have to keep an eye on it and bring it in later.
Off to Essex to a wedding. Have a nice day all!

  • Hi all,

Mega busy week and flying minimal. Managed the dailies yesterday plus cleaning the living room windows, but that's it. Hopeful today will allow me to catch up. Need to do lots of washing, ironing, grass mowing, weeding, planting, emailing, tidying, hoovering, dusting and food shopping.

Going to have a coffee to wake me up, and then get to it!

LW I'm sure the stress will be worth it, think of the end result. In the meantime, just hide x

Piggers you sound as if you are on a mission this week!

Have a lovely day Valli x

Sun is shining, must get wm on
