I UU to report:
Burt's Bees Honey & Grapeseed Hand Cream 20g - WDBA. I loved this hand cream so I'll miss it, the scent was lovely and it was very softening. This lasted 1.5 months in my make-up bag. I've now chucked in the Nip+Fab which used to sit on my beside table but is now slowly running out. I also have an Avon one by my sink so I'm hoping they'll both go soon.
Also I have an IN - an Aussie hair serum for coloured hair which I bought in The Original Factory Shop for £3. It seemed worth a try at that price. I've been very good lately. I was in Poundland yesterday for other things and managed to not impulse buy any toiletries. No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2019 Total UU since 2016 - 396 | Total February UU - 10 -
My HG List so far
Body butter/cream/lotion: not sure on this one, probably the crabtree and evelyn Olive one
Shampoo: Used to be L'oreal Evepure, currently choosing a new one.
Conditioner/treatment: As above.
Shower gel/body wash: Crabtree and evelyn or Body shop Olive.
Body Scrub: Don't currently use
Deodorant: Used to be Mitchum spray, but they changed the spray and was struggling to get it to squirt, now trying the gel version.
Hand cream: Dr Hauska Rose
Foot cream/lotion: I'm really bad and don't apply it to my own feet.
Lip balm: still looking
Toothpaste: Not really fussy as long as it's minty fresh.
Mouthwash: Anything but listerine
Soap: doesn't agree with my skin, so use hand wash, shower gel etc instead
Bubble bath: currently loving Lush creamy candy bubble bar
Moisturiser: Lancome Hydra Zen (has sorted out my dry sensitive skin).
Eye serum/Cream: Cream Lancome Hydra Zen, have used this since my bad reaction the other week and its calmed evrything down. Still need a serum tough
Toner: don't use
Micellar water: Don't use.
Face wash/scrub: Lush Ultra Bland
Perfume: Change my mind regulary currently liking Marc Jacobs Daisy
Hand wash/sanitisers: Body Shop Almond0 -
Well you wait for an empty and three come along at once!
UU 5 Korres lip butter wild rose 6g - my mum gave this to me a year or so ago as she didn't get on with the red colour. I liked this but ended up using it as a night time lipbalm despite the red colour. Was ok but the moisturising effect didn't last long. WNBA
UU 6 Tresamme perfectly undone weightless shampoo 500ml WDBA - loved this. Reminded me in effect of the lush sea salt shampoo, but was a lot cheaper and less drying. Have found another shampoo in the shower that I will use up but will then buy the tresamme one again.
UU 7 NSPA Sweet and tropical mango shower and bath gel 500ml got this when it was on offer in ASDA. WNBA. Liquidy and the smell was so meh. Cheap and cheerful but it's just a shower gel!0 -
Good morning ladies. I have some INs. Yesterday I met Emma from work and we went to the NYX counter at Boots on the retail park where she works. I bought most items for her:-
Finishing powder
Eyebrow liner
Highlighter and contour pen
2 X eyeshadow
EYEBROW GEL
For me : Primer
Eyeshadow called SOS
sure deodorant
Had coupon for 350 AP on spend of £35. Got 2 items then with AP.
My Bare Minerals Prime Time primer and deodorant will be UU this week so these replace them. The eyeshadow was not necessary but is lovely matte taupe shade and only £3.50. The brow items and powder I got for Emma are replacements of Anastasia Beverley Hills products that she got in the US so have saved me money.
I don't think I'll finish any other products this week though my shampoo and the ABC body wash are feeling light. Am going to try and finish my Pocketbac this week.
Also from TKMaxx yesterday bought a bag of Epsom Salt. Did a workout yesterday and my legs are killing me.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

I have a UU to report:
Dove peony & sweet cream body wash 250ml- WBA this smelled lovely and was very moisturising on the skin, my skin was so soft afterwards. This would be brilliant in the colder months when skin is drier. It was also a pretty pastel purple colour and a nice thick luxurious consistency. The bottle lasted me a lot longer than most the same size as a little went a long way.No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2015/2016/2017/2018

I meant to say how sorry I was for what happened to you at work, Gemzie. A few years ago I was pootling around the house on a sunny Saturday morning when there were sounds of running on the stairs and commotion from the residential home next door.
One of the residents - she was only in her early thirties - had gone upstairs for a nap after breakfast, had an epileptic fit in her sleep and died.
She was so sweet, caring and loving. Some of the other residents, including her equally lovely boyfriend, had gone on a weekend break earlier that morning - they came straight back.
It was a terrible shock for the duty manager who was only in her mid-twenties at the time.
Every time I hear running on the stairs next door now, I stop and listen just in case, it brings it back.
Her boyfriend did find someone else a couple of years ago and is very happy.
Happier topics, a rather nice NBI
It's an Ambre Solaire BB cream. SPF 30, not too dark, so should be ok once I get a slightly sunkissed look.
The Burt's Bees nappy cream that arrived the other day (I use it for cycling chafes) is basically zinc oxide cream with scented additions. How do they justify £9 a tube for 85g, when Sudocrem is 400g for under a fiver?Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -

So very sorry to hear about the lady from next door to youepilepsy is a horrible horrible condition. It is believed that exactly the same thing happened to the resident at ours
they were in their 40's. Still doesn't feel real because they were fine on Thursday evening. Just a shocking reminder to me of how quickly life can be taken away and how someone can so suddenly be gone
I already know this though having witnessed a bus drive into people onto a crossing outside a theme park about 13 years ago. Everyone it hit was killed including a baby. That image will haunt me for the rest of my life I was only 13 at the time. You never get over seeing something like that happen. Seeing the air ambulance and chaos at work the other day just brought it all back and is why I panicked and wanted to run.
I'm probably not in the best job because I know I'm going to have to deal with death, however most of our residents are younger. I don't think I could cope with working in a home where it was happening on a weekly basis. I do feel like what I am doing is useful though which is a good thing in that I am helping people. It's just hard not to get attached but I guess I have to make the most of every day with all of the residents and enjoy the time I have with them. At the end of the day none of us know how long we've got. It's just a massive shock when something unexpected happens.
I do feel somewhat amused when I consider what my mum would be left with if I were to die tomorrow though - about 500 bottles of shower gel!! And not much else!No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2015/2016/2017/2018

Gemzie - what a horrible thing for you to have witnessed, especially as a child. It sounds like you do a very good job in caring for your residents and that makes you special.
I have a uu
Body Shop Vanilla Brulee Bath Jelly - WNBA, I am glad to see the back of these.
Me and DH went to the tip yesterday to recycle our old oven and just watching all the cars and the things going in the skips in the few minutes we were there really made me sad about how much we throw away without a thought and I am going to be making a huge effort to be more minimalist in all areas of life so this challenge will be a big part of that.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
