TA - Boots No 7 Nude lip crayon. Feel liberated!!
Regifted a Maybelline lip crayon to Emma this morning. I think it was called Berry Watch? Lovely colour but no matter how I applied it it bled everywhere so much so I looked like I'd been drinking Ribena! :rotfl:She gave it to me for Christmas hence the regift.Valm - I'm currently using the Benefit eye cream at night along with B. Night cream and my face is lovely and soft in the mornings. Kind of annoys me because the eye cream is Benefit but I would recommend it for non-vegans. Just don't tell the vegan police I'm recommending something non vegan :rotfl::rotfl:
I've actually recently had a sample of the Benefit eye cream and have used it before but found it too rich. Whilst the sample was ok I'd be worried that it would cause milia long term. Thanks for the recommendation though.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. VALM - I'm using a very basic eye cream from Boots it is their sensitive one and the packaging looks a lot like Simple. It is very nice and hasn't caused any milia (I suffer with this too), it is not over rich but still feels moisturising.
I have a flurry of uu's
Aromatherapy Associates Relax Deep Bath Oil 7.5ml WNBA
Ojon Revitalising Mist - this is lovely and I have replaced it with another the same from the stash. WMBA but the price is putting me off.
Clinique Moisture Surge 50ml - WBA - really love this as a night cream.
Lancome GWP size black eyeliner given to DD.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
Fashion on the Ration 28/660 -
One little UU this morning:
Avon skin so soft soft & sensual replenishing body lotion 7ml sample sachet - WNBA this was far too runny and dripped everywhere onto the carpet (in the staff on call bedroom whoops). It was the consistency of water. Smell was okay but nothing special and it took longer to rub in as it was so runny. Plenty of others I like better so won't buy this as a full size.
Might have ordered a joy of jelly shower jelly and a dragons egg bath bomb from lush this morning. Really needed it to be honest it's been a horrible morning. I was already emotional as its brothers birthday today and I can't see him as I'm working tonight - he's away at uni and if I wasn't working we'd have gone and seen him. I miss him so much so I'm feeling gutted that I can't wish him happy birthday in person. Then went into the main home this morning (been in independent house next door on sleep in) and it was chaos paramedics everywhere, air ambulance arrived as I was walking through the garden. Ambulances in the car park. One of our residents is very seriously ill. Seeing it all brought back horrible memories from the past and I couldn't deal with it, started to shake and feel really ill. Had to get out of there
I'm dreading going back tonight as I'm just praying the resident will be okay. I think I was just in shock, i really struggle with seeing things like that, i start to shake when I pass a car accident etc. I think it was the shock too of how quickly someone can suddenly become life threateningly unwell - they were fine last night and then this morning...
Had a couple of lush items arrive this morning:
Lush go faster feet foot lotion (large bottle)
Lush d'fluff shabing lotion (large pot)
D'fluff I'd never tried before but it smells amazing and I'm very excited to use it. I think this will become a HG.No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2015/2016/2017/2018

Gemzie, sorry to hear about your resident. I too can be a sensitive soul and get too caught up in what is going on with other people. I often feel really sad for folk when I hear bad news but on the flip side I get really angry for folk who have been treated badly (happens a lot in my work which is why I'm permanently angry and stressed!) Need to try to calm this down though as my wee baby doesn't need me being stressed.
I can't remember what I last updated so here is what I think I'm missing:
UU:
Boots Cucumber face wipes - WMBA - I've used these for years but they seem to be a hit and miss as to whether they are actually moist or not. I'm beginning to think they are too harsh for my skin so I'm trying to use my misceller water more. I might give the misceller wipes a try.
Armani she moisturiser - GWP - Would not buy on it's own or buy the set just for this purely because I'm rubbish with body lotions. It was lovely and the scent lasted ages.
Mascara - again I can't remember the brand. It's sold by the beautician I go to for waxing etc so it's not something that's sold on the high street. It's OK but I find it really difficult to get a good mascara as my lashes aren't very long. It does the job OK.
TA:
Soap and Glory Hair Supply - I felt like my hair was so greasy at the roots after using this. I might have had it too long or maybe it just didn't agree with my hair. I tried to persevere then realised it wasn't worth it!
INs:
L'Occitane soap bar - not new but from stash. I've had 10 in my stash for at least 6 years so I've decided to start using one in the bathroom instead of liquid soap. It is quite nourishing but I think I need to find a nice soap dish for it to sit in.
Benefit They're Real mascara - sample - I've had the full one before and wasn't overly keen but thought I'd use this in the interim before I buy a new mascara (skint just now!) - it's doing the job nicely to be honest. It does lengthen my lashes but I find it smudges on my lids a lot easier than other mascaras.
E45 derma protect moisturising spray - Free to review - used once so far and it took a wee while to sink in as loads came out but my skin felt amazing. I think I'll take this on holiday to use in between after sun.
I will post my HG list shortly although it's nowhere near as long as Gemzie's!#27 £2016 in 2016 = £763.61

Just painted my Nails in OPI Fearlessly Alice, and it looks great. Thanks ValM for directing me to the deal. I've tried the Nail Envy as a base coat so we'll see how that goes and if it helps my nails at all.
Still plodding on with the 7 by summer, the primer is almost gone and the blusher is just around the edges of the pan now. Once gone I think this will be the 1st Blusher I have ever uu, so looking forward to finishing it.
I nipped into Sally's yesterday and saw the special edition OPI Alice colour which was lovely. That branch of Sallys always has OPI reduced once a new collection is released so I'm going to hang on and see.
Finishing a blusher is immense! Well done.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Out of interest, and also coz I'm nosy! what's everyone's current HG list? Think this has been done before in previous threads but I'll be interested to see how my list compares say this time next year!
Body butter/cream/lotion: TBS or boots extracts ones mainly, but do also like soap & glory and I love... Ones. Absolute HG = boots extracts cocoa butter body butter. Body lotion absolute HG = Nivea irresistibly smooth Shea butter body lotion
Shampoo: any of the v05 ones or any Garnier fructis one - both seem to agree with my hair
Conditioner/treatment: as above for conditioners. Avon for hair masks. Another HG is the Argan oil hair mask that you can get in pound shops. I like Phil smith Argan oil for a leave in conditioner. And HG conditioning/de tangling spray is Johnsons. HG heat protect is v05 or Loreal Ellnett straight.
Shower gel/body wash: lush snow fairy, rose jam, yummy mummy I feel I need to hoard as I love them so much. Also TBS mango. B&bw love & sunshine. Imperial leather bewitching blackberry & fig (but I believe now discontinued). Really like the dove one I'm using ATM (peony & sweet cream). also love lush shower jellies - snowman, sweetie pie, happy blooming, big calm, pot o gold, American pie are favourites
Body scrub: lush rub rub rub is my absolute HG. Also like b&bw ones.
Deodorant: roll ons - Wilko ones are my HG, their own ones that smell of plum, lily, peach. Spray - absolute favourite is Sanex dermo pro hydrate or Aldi Lacura pink one.
Hand cream: L'occitane ones, and failing that for everyday use TBS ones or soap & glory hand food. Also liked Nivea ones.
Foot cream/lotion: lush go faster feet. And sanctuary heel balm. I also really love my Avon foot works foot scrubs (especially the macadamia one) and my Avon foot works lime mojito cooling spray.
Lip balm: HG is Malin + goetz lip moisturiser. Also like EOS ones, TBS lip butters and Vaseline tins especially the aloe one. And HG lip scrub is lush bubblegum.
Toothpaste: sensodyne ones. Failing that I have really liked tesco pro sensitive.
Mouthwash: superdrug pro ones are my HG and most often bought.
Soap: any of the bomb cosmetics ones. Also like lush ones. I seem to be hoarding sultana of soap in particular - it's so creamy and smells lovely.
Bubble bath: dove, imperial leather, TBS honeymania bath melt. Anything really. For bombs, I like lush and bomb cosmetics. My most often bought HG from lush is creamy candy bubble bar.
Moisturiser: I like the johnsons night cream I'm using ATM but also loved TBS vitamin e night cream.
Eye serum: really loved Dr. Organic rose otto eye serum
Toner: no.7 toners are my HG usually.
Micellar water: Garnier micellar water. (The pink one)
Face wash/scrub: face wash = soap & glory face scrub= beauty formulas ones are my favourite
Perfume: HG ones are = ghost (original one), Elie Saab, Avon gold, Avon rare pearls, Roberto cavalli, Calvin Klein eternity, Calvin Klein reveal, next forever love, next boutique glam, next sparkle, next diamonds (run out of it sob sob), avon scentini purple pulse. For everyday use at work I like TBS ones especially smoky rose and soap & glory ones - I love all of them especially the big 100ml fragrances. I also really love my b&bw Cool melon kiwi fragrance spray in the summer. For body mists, I loved the NSPA clementine one and I like I love... Ones too such as my blackberry & raspberry one. Superdrug own and Charlie body sprays.
Hand wash/sanitisers: for hand wash I love b&bw ones even though pricey. For hand gels its b&bw ones too as the pocketbacs are the only ones I've found that don't dry my hands out.
Think that's everything
Ooh a HG list. Here we go:-
Body butter/cream/lotion: I'm with you re: body butter. Boots Extracts or TBS. I actually like the Vaseline lotions as well.
Shampoo: John Frieda Frizz Ease
Conditioner/treatment: As above.
Shower gel/body wash: Any by Philosophy with the exception of the red coloured ones. Sitting on my hands today to try and avoid the TSV.
Body scrub: Lush Porridge Soap (sob that I am now expressly forbidden from buying). After that Lush Cup o Coffee.
Deodorant: Not really fussy but quite like the Vaseline roll on as I can see how much is left. Getting low at the moment.
Hand cream: L'occitane Lavender
Foot cream/lotion: I'm really bad and don't apply it to my own feet.
Lip balm: Have not found one.
Toothpaste: Not really fussy as long as it's minty fresh.
Mouthwash: Ditto.
Soap: Lush Porridge (double sob!). After that L'Occitane bars.
Bubble bath: Don't buy specifically. Usually chuck in the body wash that is on the go.
Moisturiser: Elemis PCMC
Eye serum: Still searching.
Toner: Pixi Glow Tonic
Micellar water: Don't use.
Face wash/scrub: joint : Elemis Lime Blossom cleanser (great for oily skin during the day) Soap & Glory Peaches and Clean (great for make up removal)
Perfume: L'Occitane Jasmine and Bergamot/Philosophy Pure Grace. Can't decide between them both.
Hand wash/sanitisers: L'Occitane Verbena liquid soap. Anything else dries my hands out.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. D'fluff I'd never tried before but it smells amazing and I'm very excited to use it. I think this will become a HG.
We use DeFluff too and it's a HG for us although I personally prefer Dirty (lovely lavender fragrance).
One more UU: Sachet of L'Occitane Divine oil. Yes, my skin felt so much better this morning.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. bradleysmum wrote: »PP List for May, prob won't be as good a month as I'm on holiday for a week
but I do have some bits spluttering so we'll see
Triple Dry roll on deodorant 50ml - UU
Avon footworks deep moisturising cream 150ml - UU
Nivea soft moisturising cream 200ml
Dolly’s mixtures candy floss shower gel 300ml - UU
Boots berries and cream shower gel 250ml
Boots extracts vanilla body scrub 75ml - UU
Boots extracts spiced apple hand cream 75ml
Umberto giannini pure beauty shampoo 75ml
Palmolive almond bath milk 500ml
Avon planet spa Egyptian secrets face mask 75ml
UUs not going too bad this month. The shower gel, bath milk and shampoo should be finished this month. The nivea cream definately won't be as I'm using a couple of aftersuns to try and keep my tan topped up and to stop the peeling. The face mask may or may not, it depends on how many times I can slather it on the hubby's face too!
Also have INs
Imperial leather foamburst blackberry and fig - was only £1 in Asda
Chocolate orange grounded coffee scrub 200g- was a freebie I got sent for voting in some beauty awards.0 -
Body butter/cream/lotion: I don't tend to have one. I just use whatever I've had gifted or bought in sets
Shampoo: Tresemme - any Tresemme shampoo but I tend to use a colour protect shampoo. Not sure it is gonna be a HG for long though as sometimes my hair feels greasy after washing. At first I thought I maybe wasn't rinsing correctly but now I think my hair might not like this as much anymore
Conditioner/treatment: Same as above
Shower gel/body wash: I don't have a HG but I do love the smell of the S&G lime shower gel. If I could afford the L'Occitane almond oil, I would choose to use this more often.
Body scrub: Again no real fav
Deodorant: Nivea or Vaseline roll ons. I never use sprays, I absolutely hate them.
Hand cream: Not really sure. I wasn't a massive fan of L'Occitane ones at first as they were too rich but I think they are more suited to how my hands are nowadays. I do love the smell of TBS satsuma hand cream but I generally use S&G as I tend to have loads of these gifted or picked up in sets.
Foot cream/lotion: No fav
Lip balm: Oh this is a toughie. I don't think I've found one I love on a long term basis. For ages I loved the Balmers (I think) coconut lip balm, then it was Carmex and now I'm using Blisteze as I had a cold sore and it's amazing although I don't want to use this permanently. I wear lip balm daily so if anyone has any good recommendations then I'd be up for trying something new.
Toothpaste: None
Mouthwash: None
Soap: None
Bubble bath: Not fussy on this, just whatever is on offer
Moisturiser: Day moisturiser had been L'Occitane hydra cream but I'm on the lookout for a new HG as I'm not keen on my new day moisturiser. Night moisturiser had been S&G but I think that was more for the smell, not sure how effective it was! On the lookout for a HG of this too.
Eye serum: Don't use
Toner: Rarely use
Micellar water: Garnier micellar water - pink one
Face wash/scrub: L'Occitane hydra face wash but as my skin has changed over the last wee while I'm considering trying something else so again on the lookout for a HG.
Perfume: Absolute fav is Armani She. Next Define is a cheap alternative for when I'm skint. My signature scent for the last 16-17 years has been Calvin Klein Escape but about 2 years ago we discovered my boyfriend is allergic to it. Gutted doesn't begin to cover how I felt about this. So I've got half a bottle just sitting teasing me. I did try to sneakily use it in case he just didn't like it but almost instantly he was itching and sneezing and feeling rubbish (his allergies are worse than just the norm and he starts to have problems breathing so I had to stop being selfish!)
Hand wash/sanitisers: Don't have one however I see a lot of you talking about Bath and Body Works. I thought this was only available in America so I'm now off to investigate as I'd love some. Oh and I did love the No7 hand exfoliator thing (can't remember the name). Again if this wasn't so pricey I would have used it loads but I think it might be discontinued now.#27 £2016 in 2016 = £763.61
