I have 2 UU's - kind of
The mess head shampoo that I have been using to try and wash the dye out of the lower lengths of my hair and a medicated shampoo we had in the bathroom.
When I say kind of, what I mean is that I have been eyeing up the medicated shampoo since the beginning of the month, even though it was my dads for his scalp condition. I have been getting more flakes than normal lately so I used it 2 days ago and it helped a little but nothing impressive. I then looked for an expiry date(it has one as it's medicated) and it was 2 months out of date so I made it my mission to use it up, used it again this morning and ironically I finished it off. I thought the bottle felt a bit light!
As for the mess head shampoo, I have been using this religiously to try and use it up and it has been going down ever so slowly despite being a rather small bottle! I used it on my lengths this morning(while finishing off the medicated shampoo on my scalp/roots) and once I realised that one was finished I just thought to myself "this isn't doing anything, it cost me 99p so what's the point?!" and I took the lid off and poured the rest down the plughole.0 -
No more UUs as yet however I have just been to Boots at lunch time to return the wart treatment I bought for MrM (not the right one, ungrateful so and so!). Walked straight in, dealt with return, walked straight out.
I have decided not to go for the Avon eye cream as some reviews that I read online said it caused milia. Had a look in Superdrug at lunch and will research some of these in readiness of me running out of the Elemis one. I'm thinking though that I could do with a serum as the night cream I'm using is not effective enough. It's the Vicy Idealla Sleep one. It feels sticky on application and my skin does not feel supple in the mornings. I don't have any serums/oils in my stash except a couple of sample sachets of L'occitane Divine oil. Would Elemis Illuminating Balm work do you think as I think I have a tube of this left in stassh? If not, any recommendations would be good as I'm planning a trip to Boots on Saturday.
Repainted my nails last night and am wearing OPI Lunch at the Delhi - an old fave.
TA - Boots No 7 Nude lip crayon. Feel liberated!!Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Valm - I'm currently using the Benefit eye cream at night along with B. Night cream and my face is lovely and soft in the mornings. Kind of annoys me because the eye cream is Benefit but I would recommend it for non-vegans. Just don't tell the vegan police I'm recommending something non vegan :rotfl::rotfl:My debt free diary

The Lancome Visionaire Nuit I've been using has gone on smoothly, left my skin feeling soft and supple in the morning and has healed up lots of my broken/visible veins and normalised other areas. I have ridiculoulsy senstive skin though, so use this on its own and not with other night creams or my skin breaks out like whoa.
In other news, I am powerless against free stuff and came back from Westfield with 2 free mini deoderants and more free skin cream sample tubes.0 -
I use Benefit Lemon Aid as an eye primer and don't suffer any problems with the application of anything on top of it however I'm thinking of changing primer once this has gone as it does not hide the discolouration straight away so I can't have the non-eyeshadow days that I used to enjoy.
Thanks Val, I will look into getting the Benefit primer.I will have to save up a bit as I'm trying to save the pennies though.
I have 2 UU to report. I emptied 2 hotel freebie shower gels into my hand wash as I have 30+ shower gels including plenty of minis anyway. I used up one of them before but it was nothing special so I won't miss using them in the shower:
UU
Olivia Shower Gel 60ml (x2)No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2019 Total UU since 2016 - 396 | Total February UU - 10 -
A couple of small UUs - I'm not expecting much for a while, not many splutterers around.
- small sachet of Adore hand cream. WNB.
- heaven hydrogel 10ml sample. Just found this half used while tidying. Used one before and didn't like it - used up this on my feet.
The Ball was lovely, and I'm liking the Clinique sculpting chubby stick. It goes on very gently, so need quite a lot of layering to do anything dramatic - but given I like subtlety I'm happy with that
Changed my nail polish to Opi Eurso Euro, with Ciate social elite on top. Gave a nice deep mermaidy effect
I did a bit of a tidy up of my nail polishes - I hadn't sorted through the glitter and effects ones in ages! Ended up throwing out an old dried out red glitter, two croc effect Barry M polishes, and a shatter effect. Also pulled out another 3 shatter effects to give away if friends want them. I found another 3 glitters etc that were looking dry but I loved, so put in a bit of Seche Restore which seems to have worked - fingers crossed it lasts! I do have loads of nail polish, but don't count them in this challenge as I don't think they are a problemI haven't bought any in ages though.

Just painted my Nails in OPI Fearlessly Alice, and it looks great. Thanks ValM for directing me to the deal. I've tried the Nail Envy as a base coat so we'll see how that goes and if it helps my nails at all.
Still plodding on with the 7 by summer, the primer is almost gone and the blusher is just around the edges of the pan now. Once gone I think this will be the 1st Blusher I have ever uu, so looking forward to finishing it.
Eyes seem to be improving, I have been making sure I take my antihistamines every day and I've even been using anti allergy eye drops to see if that helps as well. Had just mascara on yesterday and that was ok, have put light eye makeup on today and so far so good. We'll see how they are in the morning.0 -
Hello all!
Got some UUs:
16. St Ives Refreshing Facial Cleansing Wipes WMBA. Got these from a pound shop and they were a lot more gentle than I thought so I might get again.
17. Roger and Gallet Bois D'Orange EDT sample. WBA. Mentioned this last time. UU'd the second one. Still loved it.
18. Radox Relax Bubble Bath. WMBA. It's fine but I prefer the more traditional green Radox smells.
Also some TAs:
2. Lush Full of Grace Serum Bar. WNBA. Just couldn't get to grips with this at all and it doesn't really sink in either.
3. Max Factor Colour Adapt Foundation. WNBA. Too heavy, bad colour match, goes very cakey.
And for the INs:
9&10. Garnier double pack cleansing wipes. One Micellar Extra Gentle, one Micellar Oil. These were less than £3 for the twinpack which works out better than half price and I know I like these so seemed a good time to buy.
11. Lush StarCraft Cleanser
12. Lush Flying Saucers Liquid Bubble Bath
13. Lush Pleasure Dough Bubble Bar
The 3 Lush items are all from the Kitchen (I'm in the same boat as you Gemzie121!!). StarCraft is lovely but Pleasure Dough and Flying Saucers are the first Kitchen things I've been disappointed by. I may try to eBay them. Always risky buying from Lush online when you can't smell them first!
Hope everyone's had a good week!0 -
Another couple UU to report:
Avon chamomile & aloe care & repair conditioning balm - WBA smells lovely and does the job well even though it's a fairly runny consistency. I've moaned about this before but I think the pots should be bigger for the price. However I'll still buy this again as I really like the smell, even if I get through it quite quickly! Got more of these in stash but replaced with a v05 hair mask to complement the v05 shampoo and conditioner I'm using ATM.
Neutrogena nourishing body lotion Nordic berries body lotion 6ml sample sachet - WBA as full size when stash is reduced significantly! This was lovely, felt gorgeous and sunk in quickly and I liked the scent.
Need to report my latest naughty lush ins, one was a bundle I won on eBay. I'm starting to get bored of my non- lush stuff currently but I know i need to use them up before I can start on my newer lush bits.

Can you tell I am obsessed with snow fairy
X15 items in
When I've used up my hordes of shampoos and conditioners stashed I may branch out and try lush shampoos etc. I'd really like to get my stash down to just my HG items which seem to be mostly lush with a few HG bits from Avon, TBS, bomb cosmetics, b&bw and my HG v05 stuff. And only the perfumes I really can't live without, not just the ones I simply like. I've got to really love them. If I can get it down to just those things that would be brilliant!
Out of interest, and also coz I'm nosy! what's everyone's current HG list? Think this has been done before in previous threads but I'll be interested to see how my list compares say this time next year!
Body butter/cream/lotion: TBS or boots extracts ones mainly, but do also like soap & glory and I love... Ones. Absolute HG = boots extracts cocoa butter body butter. Body lotion absolute HG = Nivea irresistibly smooth Shea butter body lotion
Shampoo: any of the v05 ones or any Garnier fructis one - both seem to agree with my hair
Conditioner/treatment: as above for conditioners. Avon for hair masks. Another HG is the Argan oil hair mask that you can get in pound shops. I like Phil smith Argan oil for a leave in conditioner. And HG conditioning/de tangling spray is Johnsons. HG heat protect is v05 or Loreal Ellnett straight.
Shower gel/body wash: lush snow fairy, rose jam, yummy mummy I feel I need to hoard as I love them so much. Also TBS mango. B&bw love & sunshine. Imperial leather bewitching blackberry & fig (but I believe now discontinued). Really like the dove one I'm using ATM (peony & sweet cream). also love lush shower jellies - snowman, sweetie pie, happy blooming, big calm, pot o gold, American pie are favourites
Body scrub: lush rub rub rub is my absolute HG. Also like b&bw ones.
Deodorant: roll ons - Wilko ones are my HG, their own ones that smell of plum, lily, peach. Spray - absolute favourite is Sanex dermo pro hydrate or Aldi Lacura pink one.
Hand cream: L'occitane ones, and failing that for everyday use TBS ones or soap & glory hand food. Also liked Nivea ones.
Foot cream/lotion: lush go faster feet. And sanctuary heel balm. I also really love my Avon foot works foot scrubs (especially the macadamia one) and my Avon foot works lime mojito cooling spray.
Lip balm: HG is Malin + goetz lip moisturiser. Also like EOS ones, TBS lip butters and Vaseline tins especially the aloe one. And HG lip scrub is lush bubblegum.
Toothpaste: sensodyne ones. Failing that I have really liked tesco pro sensitive.
Mouthwash: superdrug pro ones are my HG and most often bought.
Soap: any of the bomb cosmetics ones. Also like lush ones. I seem to be hoarding sultana of soap in particular - it's so creamy and smells lovely.
Bubble bath: dove, imperial leather, TBS honeymania bath melt. Anything really. For bombs, I like lush and bomb cosmetics. My most often bought HG from lush is creamy candy bubble bar.
Moisturiser: I like the johnsons night cream I'm using ATM but also loved TBS vitamin e night cream.
Eye serum: really loved Dr. Organic rose otto eye serum
Toner: no.7 toners are my HG usually.
Micellar water: Garnier micellar water. (The pink one)
Face wash/scrub: face wash = soap & glory face scrub= beauty formulas ones are my favourite
Perfume: HG ones are = ghost (original one), Elie Saab, Avon gold, Avon rare pearls, Roberto cavalli, Calvin Klein eternity, Calvin Klein reveal, next forever love, next boutique glam, next sparkle, next diamonds (run out of it sob sob), avon scentini purple pulse. For everyday use at work I like TBS ones especially smoky rose and soap & glory ones - I love all of them especially the big 100ml fragrances. I also really love my b&bw Cool melon kiwi fragrance spray in the summer. For body mists, I loved the NSPA clementine one and I like I love... Ones too such as my blackberry & raspberry one. Superdrug own and Charlie body sprays.
Hand wash/sanitisers: for hand wash I love b&bw ones even though pricey. For hand gels its b&bw ones too as the pocketbacs are the only ones I've found that don't dry my hands out.

Deleted_User - the lush kitchen is too tempting isn't it!! I'm getting too addicted
already ordered this week 2 x temple of truth bubble bars, Narcotick shower gel (wanted supertramp but it got cancelled but apparently Narcotick is great for problem skin so I'm hoping it will help!), ring of roses buttercream, creamed coconut and almond smoothie, needles and pines shower jelly (small pot), noubar soap. I have a real problem. And I'm really coveting joy of jelly. I seem to be obsessed with collecting the jellies and shower gels. It's really really bad. It's so easy to get hooked on the kitchen isn't it!
What does the flying saucers bubble bath smell of? although should probably sit on my hands and not order anymore haha.
I just want them to do more Phoenix rising in the kitchen. I would buy like 10,000 I miss it so much.
The lush kitchen is really making this challenge difficult for me
Although to be honest, nice smelling things are my main enjoyment in life... I've had to give up a lot of things as my health is declining. For example I'm Starting to realise I shouldn't horse ride anymore because of my deteriorating health. Having a nice warm bath or shower helps with my pain. And nice scents around me just make me feel better (Which is why I have too many Yankee candles too). I've never smoked and hardly ever drink, hardly ever go out, I've been out like once in the last 3 months which was to the cinema, don't go for meals very often as always working evenings, don't splurge often on clothes/shoes etc so toiletries have been my main pleasure and my one naughty habit. And the whole reason why I ended up on this thread in the first place. No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries 2015/2016/2017/2018
