On the upside I went shopping yesterday and blagged no samples.
On the downside, today 2 skincare sample sizes and 2 perfume samples and 4 free fash mags.
    I need a bigger bathroom.

As an ex-beekeeper I am always up for trying Burt's Bees products but have never found anything I actually liked.

The only Burts Bees product line that I've been impressed by are the lip shimmers. Everything else I've found really underwhelming.

    A few UU, yay!

    - John Frieda Sheer Blonde highlight activating shampoo. WDBA. I love the Sheer Blonde range - I'm happy using any of the shampoos. They lather nicely, leave my hair soft, last ages, and they are often on offer, woohoo! I've another half finished one in the shower, and a full one in the cupboard, so I'm good for now though :)
    -
Nails repainted yesterday with another dense glitter - Nails Inc special effect in Rose Alley. Understated but sparkly in the right light :)

I love the John Frieda Frizz Ease but disagree with you re: how long they last. I seem to go through a full sized tube in 2 weeks!

Repainted my nails today and am wearing OPI Elephantastic Pink. Gorgeous colour. One of my faves and I'm on a second bottle.

    I have three UUs:-

Elemis Gentle Rose Exfoliator - 25ml tube - I do like this but prefer LUSH Cup o Coffee. I gave the Lancer Method Polish to Emma to finish off. Have told her not to like it too much as I'm not spending £60 on an exfoliator. I have now graduated completely in facial scrub and as it's pay day today will get a tub of Cup of Coffee.

John Frieda Frizz Ease Shampoo. HG although as mentioned in my previous post I find the fact that I get through the tubes very quickly a bit annoying. Am going to buy this next time I see it on offer rather than going out seeking it (this usually lends to me spending more than I thought and I feel I've been pretty good spend wise this month so want to see it through to the end of the month). We do have some Aussie shampoo in the bathroom and I'll use this in the meantime.

Vaseline roll on deodorant. Last time I was looking for this to replace I could not find it. Has it been discontinued? Have a Sure roll on to use next. I buy deodorant as I am getting near the end of one so don't stash these.

I have brought a 10ml tube of L'occitane shea hand cream with me to work which has been scrunched up to get the last remains from it. Hope to finish it today.

    Morning ladies.

I have repainted my nails in OPI The Colour of Minnie - I am trying to use this up, it is only a mini bottle so a couple more applications and it will start being too hard to apply evenly.

Think I may have solved the eye make removal issue, unfortunately by using 2 products instead of 1. Only tried one use so far, but so far so good, no black circles under my eye's to scrub off during the removal process or Panda Eyes in the morning. Also no sticking soreness, swollen or dry lids.

This was using the Too faced Mascara Melt off and then Origins Well off eye make up remover. Both were 10% off in Debenhams sale and got a free origins overnight face mask as well so not a bad deal. Saw the origins recommended somewhere and really fancied trying the Too faced one. Had originally tried another remover as a more natural solution but it didn't remove anything at all. So another item for the bin.

I have another issue now, I gained a lot of weight over the winter (around a stone). I've lost most of it over the past 2 months, but in the last 2 weeks I've noticed some undesirable changes to my face since I've lost it. I seem to have gone from looking 10 years younger than my age to 10 years older. My face seems saggy now, and have a lot of lines round the mouth/chin area. I have also noticed what look like stretch marks under my chin (must have been caused by the weight gain). Is there something I can do to fix this or does my face just need time for everything to tighten back up/settle down?

A good massage with facial oil is supposed to help firm the skin. I'm not much of a believer in anti-ageing products, I think prevention is better as when the damage is done no cream is going to do much.

Another Manuka Doctor NBI. This one is a skin cream but it doesn't have SPF, which is a bit of a shame. Will be reviewing and linking in due course.

I have the day off work tomorrow thank goodness. I just noticed tonight that I have a really swollen left tonsil so I may get that looked at tomorrow if it's still there.

I have 1 IN which isn 't too shabby as I have been very good recently - it's the new Herbal Essences Life's Beachy Limited Edition Conditioner which I purchased at half price in Superdrug. I always get good use out of Herbal Essences. Other products are so close to using up so I hope to use up more this weekend. I'll also have a bath tomorrow to use up some more bath product.

    UU
S&G The Daily Smooth Body Butter 50ml - I've had this mini tube for a wee while waiting to be used up but didn't use up until today as it can be difficult to squeeze out the last bits of product. I really liked this cream, the subtle scent and consistency. If re-purchasing, I'd hope to find it in a tub rather than a tube as it'd be easier to apply. I have 3 tubes of this stuff left in stash to use up.

  • I've had a little flurry of unexpected UUs, yay!
    19. Garnier Extra Gentle Micellar Cleansing Wipes. WDBA. Have more in stash. Think these are fantastic. Have B. Micellar Wipes and the new Garnier Micellar Oil ones on the go at the moment but would definitely choose the Extra Gentle ones over either of these.
    20. Tresemme Perfectly Undone Conditioner. WPNBA. This is the second bottle of this I've had and I didn't like it as much second time around. Moved on to trying to UU a Tresemme 24 Hour Body one now, one of those massive bottles.
    21. Candle Belle Indian Sandalwood Mega Melt. WBA. Nice scent, throw could be better though. Good value.
    22. Kind Natured Rosemary and Mint Volumising Shampoo. WNBA. It smelt nice, that's about as much as I have to say about it.
    23. Body Shop Fiji Green Tea mini Body Butter. WMBA. I preferred this scent in the butter than the EDT, which I sold on eBay. Nice texture too, it's one of the softer ones from TBS.
    24. Organic Pharmacy Antioxidant Lip Balm. WNB. I think this was a magazine freebie from last year. Not worth paying more than a magazine price for. It smelt nice but it kept separating and didn't stay on or sink in very well.

Also a couple of TAs. I found both of these when I was rearranging my room and they're both ancient so I got rid.
    4. Front Cover Shadow Base Eye Primer stick. Don't think this brand even exists any more but this was rubbish anyway so WNBA even if I could.
    5. Pixi Highlighting Stick. WNBA. Chalky and patchy.

I'm finding that the excitement of UUing items is spilling over in to other areas of my life. I'm getting quite excited that I've nearly finished my big notepad at work and get to start a shiny new one soon! I also finished a pack of post-its!

Been clearing out a lot recently. I had to decant a lot of stuff from my bedroom into the spare room while I swapped some furniture about and at the moment the pile of stuff for the tip/charity shop/selling is much bigger than the pile of stuff that will go back into my bedroom. I'm really enjoying having clear surfaces and less furniture and I actually think I'm sleeping better too.
Will catch up properly on the thread over the weekend. :)
