See Lisa Riley back in the mail today stating she lost her weight on a 500 cal a day diet. That's great is that's what was recommended for her under medical supervision etc. But so many impressionable and fed up people will now try that and its in no way sustainable.

Oh my gosh, I could eat 500 cals for breakfast :rotfl: She looks amazing mind, much different to how I looked as a size 16. My in-laws do the 5:2 diet and 2 days a week they just have 500 cals. I honestly don't think I'd have the willpower!

My muscle food delivery arrived today, I've not opened it yet but I'm all excited to try some new things

Today's been a better day food-wise. The in-laws are off on a cruise tomorrow so I've been given some fruit & veg bits that they've not used up this week, so no excuses for missing out my 1/3 speed

    Menu for today:

B - marmite on toast with an apple, cup of tea
L - ham & tomato omelette with salad, cup of coffee
T - WW chicken curry meal (as I'm working late and won't want to cook) adding speedy spring greens, strawbs & sweetened quark for pud

Trying to up my water intake so I'm pleased to have discovered pukka teas which I much prefer to green tea. The peppermint & liquorice one is scrummy. Bought some NAS lime cordial to dilute as well which I'm assuming is free, so plenty of that later tonight

Syns: 4.5 for the WW meal, 5 syns for quavers leaving me a few to play with later if I fancy an Options hot choc or something

I went out at lunch to clear my head and bought myself some snacks. I got jumbo caramel snack a jacks - from the poundshop which I didn't expect and they are only 2.5 syns each! I love them topped with slices of banana so I have had two
I've also had a 2 finger kitkat for 5.5 syns so total so far for the day = 11.5. Going to have my chicken sausage which is 1 syn and then the rest of my plate will be free/speed salad stuff so that's all sorted.

No snacking tonight as I'm off to a sewing class - I won't eat the biscuits as I like to get my head down and get the lesson done and my item finished. then it's home to bed.

Plan for tomorrow is shaping up like this:
breakfast: wheatabix (heb) with milk from HeA and melon chunks
lunch: tuna salad (lettuce, cucumber, pepper, tomatoes, pickled onion and beetroot)
tea: as yet undecided. OH and toddler will have a quick freezer tea most likely as I'm trying to use bits up. I think I may make myself an omelette to have with more salad.

I will have to pick up a few bits tomorrow over lunch as we need some groceries in the house to stop me going off plan! Will hold off on my big shop though until after the weekend if I can (will pick stuff up at aldi for the weekend as we will be at the caravan with mil so I need to be prepared!)

U may like the Pukka Detox Tea in the White Box Candyapple, I like the peppermint & licorice too and found I liked the Detox one though it took me a little while to get used too.

I could do the odd 500 calorie day here and there I guess but not for life every day lol

Totally off topic but how much do you pay to have your hair cut?
My hairdresser died as the result of an accident & I am way way out of touch.

I get mine done at the local hair and beauty school - two colours and a cut for under £20 can't go wrong

    Hi again

Beanie - I pay £30 for a cut and blow dry in England and the same in € when I'm in Spain, so with the exchange rate it's cheaper there.

Considering DH and I were working until 12, we've had a pretty productive day, the property we've been working on is on the market, the car has been MOT'd, shopping done and dinner cooked and eaten. Time to put my feet up now.

Food wise the day has gone to plan, dinner was salmon with jersey royals, carrots and green beans, followed by British :) strawberries and yogurt. Syns for 2 fingers of kitkat, thanks Lush for the syn value.

Now I need to plan meals for the next few days, making sure I use the YS items asap, so we'll probably have chicken stir fry tomorrow. I also got 2 YS melons so breakfast will be melon with something.

    Back tomorrow.

    Hi all,

    Popping in to report -1.75lb:j

I'm finally (a couple of ounces:p) lighter than I was at the beginning of April when I went on holiday and at my lowest weight in 20 odd years.

I'm determined to hit my target by the end of August which will be one year since I started SW - just over a stone to go. That should be achievable shouldn't it???

High fives to all doing well and happy with it...
Hugs to those having a bit of a hard time!
