    Sorry to hear that lantanna.
I am on my own & have been for a long time.
I agree with you 100% though.
No point in being in a one sided relationship like that.
    Keep plodding :)

  • Is the magazine cheaper in class? Cos the guy on the shop charged me the price on the front of the magazine....:/

Sorry about your guy Lantanna...there's a better one out there for you.

    Morning :)

Lantanna - sorry to hear about the man. They are like another species sometimes! I've known DH for 40 years and there are still things he won't talk to me about. You'd think your man would be able to talk to you about his weight issues as you've been there yourself.

Denise - there is another group I could go to but the class times didn't appeal to me, they only do evenings and I prefer a morning class, otherwise I spend the whole day wondering if I should eat and drink anything in case it has an effect at the scales.

    Catch you later,

Yeah, meant to be at least 80p cheaper in class from what I recall.

Yes - it should only be £1.95 if you buy it in class. :)

Yes I am still there, it is going to be a lifelong battle!!! I was just saying that to someone this morning, can't take my eye of it for a minute.

My sister took me out for an Indian on Saturday night and it was lovely. I also had a chippy on Thursday and a Chinese on Friday! Bit flipping ridiculous, but that's it, birthday over now and line drawn!

I get the magazine, there isn;t much in it for me, I don't really care that much that the good looking girl on the front page has lost a bit of weight, having been chosen because she is good looking rather than having an interesting weight loss story.

The recipes are never than inspiring, the best this month was a knickerbocker glory, which was just a bit of fruit and low fat custard with some squirty cream on top.

Wife likes to read it, it's the only reason I get it.

I tried the Spinach Cannelloni the other day, really nice and was a surprise considering it was mostly cottage cheese! Bit of a faff to make though, but I've got the leftovers for my lunch today!

Yes, it's £1.95 in group. I'm another that doesn't find it very inspiring. I buy it every month but it often sits there waiting for me to read it whereas I used to grab it eagerly. I like the adverts for some new low syn SM products but if the website wasn't so cr*p they could put them on there! Just another way of SW extracting every last penny. At least purses get lighter!:rotfl:

Sorry to hear about the man lantanna. Not brilliant timing with your birthday but I don't like the sound of him being so secretive. Not a good basis for a relationship.:A

I'm not expecting sympathy greentiger but you getting to the SPL is similar to us trying to be recognised as a 'top team'. We've lost 8 first team players and a manager in the last two years all to competitors. I feel we should hang up an 'End of Season Sale' banner at St Mary's!

You're right to leave the group if you're not getting anything out of it lois. I suppose it's difficult being somewhere rural. I have masses of groups to choose from being in a city. We'll do our best to keep you on the straight and narrow.:) I'd say definitely post your menus if you have time. It's not just as a food diary but I find it helps me stay accountable. Are you sticking with your WI day?

Thanks for the advice on holidays denise and june. I specifically asked my consultant last week how long I can leave it before losing website access and she said one month. I wouldn't be surprised if she made it up/played safe though as I'm sure I've left it longer than that before.

We're having our main meal about 4 p.m. today so no proper lunch. I'll have snacks at the ready just in case.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, 2 fried eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L/D: savoury mince (inc. carrots, onion, leeks and mushrooms) with new potatoes, cabbage, cauli, broccoli
    Snacks: banana, pear, cold potatoes
Syns: squirt of HP sauce, maybe a couple of squares of choclate

That's a shame about class Lois, I think it really does depend on whether you're consultant matches what you want out of it or not. Our old one sounds like yours now, she has large classes etc but no Facebook/text/call communication was done, it was just like we were money for her. Our new one does all of that and even sends out cards to people to encourage them to do well in the week.

I'm glad it's not just me who thought the mag was rubbish, I've got a subscription to it so unfortunately I can't pick and choose which issues I buy :( never mind, hopefully next months will be better.

Birthday sounds like it was good lantanna, sorry to hear about the fella :(

feeling much better today although I've still got an annoying cough, I keep getting shushed at work :rotfl:

    Menu for today
    B - yogurt, granola (3), banana
L - Italian chicken soup (it better be nice Tete;)) heb roll
T - SW bbq pulled pork, roasted butternut squash, coleslaw, corn
    S - crisps (4) apple

Lois, I bought some of the coleslaw mix you were on about the other day, Tesco are doing it.. it's a very small bag for the money  but as long as I don't have to chop and peel loads of veg then I'm happy!

Enjoy the taco jackets/BNS! we had 3 butternut squashes delivered by accident yesterday from Tesc0 so we may have it this week too!

have a good day all xx

Maman - didn't realise you wanted to know about the web access. My consultant said it is 6 weeks usually but SW are not particularly consistent with it so could be 2 months!

As I'll be away for the 4 months I'm not too concerned about the web access but you have access again after a break as soon as you go back to group and get weighed.
