    Hi everyone!
Hope you don't mind me joining in here?
Re starting slimming world on Monday....eek! With 2 to 2.5 stone to lose.
Have always paid and gone to class before but this time I'll be attempting to do it from home so thought this thread would be great to join in and share my weigh ins,ups and downs and hopefully pick up lots of fab ideas and maybe share a few too.
I originally lost 4 stone and kept it off for over 4 years but the last 18 months have been hard personally but I'm starting to make life better now and it's also time to tackle these 2.5 stones that have crept back on!

Welcome newbies Dominosue, Topsymum  pull up a seat and enjoy the ride :D

Not heard good things about online SW, best bet is a one off visit to group for the books and talk then use here as your group. You can post your daily menu, ask any questions, check syns etc as there are so many wonderful people here to help you out :A.

Really good motivation and a big pokey stick if you need prodding in the right direction :rotfl:

We even have a member of the Speed Police who checks your menus to make sure you are eating enough veg! You know who you are!! ;)

Good luck to all newbies, you can't go wrong here :A:A

Ok my WI - loss of .8lb, not quite a full lb but still a loss. Have the usual tummy issues, I think my body holds on to everything until AFTER wi just to pi$$ me off

Count down to back to work has begun, only 3 full days left :( and the sun has disappeared to fit my mood :(

Have a good bank holiday all :A
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

    Hi everyone!
Hope you don't mind me joining in here?

Morning welcome to you both  we're quite a helpful bunch here so feel free to ask any questions or post menus and someone will check them for you.

As TIE said, the online SW hasn't received rave reviews from people who use it as there isn't any support with it. personally I think there is enough information online (google, minimins, here) that you can go it alone instead if you have the willpower, unfortunately I have to go to class too as the accountability is there each week.

If you can, try and get to one group just to pick up a new pack and have a new members talk so that you have all the up to date information, there's a voucher in one of the women's magazines this week somewhere or was that last week? Does anyone know?

Anyway welcome to this thread.. we will be moving today to the new thread once I've set it up so mosey on over with us and feel free to join our 9 week challenge - it can help motivate hopefully :D

  • Hi All
Quick question....I'm thinking about joining a club locally, but on the SW website it doesn't mention if there's a minimum period for being a member. It mentions the first meeting is free and then you sign up. I would like to try it for a few weeks but I don't want to waste money if I have to sign up for 6 or 12 months, in case it doesn't work for me.
