I'd love to join in your next challenge. I'd like to aim for 10lbwhich brings me more or less to target. How do you decide on your targets? At first I was just bemused weight was coming off and then I settled for the top Bmi for myself and then I rethought and shaved another 3 lbs off so my target weight would be all ones 11 stone 11lb :j:j

Can only speak for myself but I originally wanted to lose 3 stone which would get me to 9st 9lb and BMI in healthy range from obese. Seemed to have arrived at 9st 7lb and have called this as target. I don't attend a group so have asked the same question here. I think it's important to have a weight that can be maintained though as that's where I've come unstuck before.

Thanks Shala I didn't know there was a roll of honour :T

Hi all, sorry I'm a bit quiet at the moment, i'm keeping up to date with the thread, just not finding time to post. I'm expecting this to be the last busy weekend of the season so life will get back to normal soon. We're really busy again this weekend, the site is nearly full.:D

Happy Birthday Beanie, have a great day.

Sorry to hear about your accident GFB, hope you're not in too much pain.

Welcome to the new people. I echo what others have said zuzupetals, don't give up on SW, it's upsetting when a new regime doesn't work straight away but I'm sure you'll see a loss soon. One thing I would suggest is that you make sure 1/3rd of your daily intake is Speed food and also get to know which fruits and veg are Speed to make sure you're doing that and not eating the wrong ones by mistake.

Shala - thanks for organising us all with the challenges, can you put me down for 7lbs please. If I achieve my target for the current challenge and the next challenge I'll have lost 4 stone.

Hope everyone enjoys the holiday weekend and has some lovely weather, see you on the other side!

    LL :)
    Start BMI - 38.7 Current BMI - 31.2 Target BMI - 26.3
  • I'll go for 7lbs for this next challenge please shala

I'm away for 2 of those weeks though so will have to try extra hard to catch up :D

    Hi all

Well so much for me posting more regular as this is the first time I have been on in over a week!!!! Started back at work on Monday as the schools went back here on Wednesday (we had a couple of inservice days first) and I have to say it is nice to be back in the routine but it was madness trying to get everything ready for going back. I also had one child starting high school and one starting primary on the same day so it was a bit stressful to say the least.

Anyway -2.5b loss for me this week please Shala. And can you pop me down for 8lbs for my target for the next challenge.

Congrats to all the losers and those who managed to reach their target:T Congrats to SOTW.

Good news about the motor home Denise. Hope you enjoy the rest of your holidays.

    menu today is:
Brunch: French toast (HeB), bacon, mushrooms and tomatoes. 2 DG coffee (4 syns)
Dinner: sw easy chicken curry with rice
Snack: melon, strawberries, vodka and coke (6 syns), 4 crackerbread with cheese (HeA)

    syns 14

Edit: just had a look back at the chart and realised that I had made my target for this challenge by 0.5lb - yay :).

    Hi guys.

I think I'll join in with the Autumn challenge! I'm going to set a goal of 8 lbs? I've got a holiday (all inclusive) and my 25th birthday all within these weeks but will set a goal which is kind of reasonable!

    Meals today -

B - cup of tea and salted caramel hi fi bar.
L - gammon salad. Spinach, cucumber, peppers and onions.
T - still undecided. Depends on whether I have the effort in me to make any food when I get home from work.
Decided for tea tonight id make my own burgers using 5% mince, onions, mixed herbs and a beef oxo cube.

Snacks - Apple, wotsits (4 and a half syns)

Not sure if this is kind of a sp day? Not intentional of course!

Just found this thread and wondered if anyone can tell me whether joining a group or doing SW online is better ??!! Will admit to having been in a group before and not losing anything (maybe my heart / mind wasn't in the right frame) but would like to try again so pros and cons from you all would be really helpful.
    Thanks everyone
