Hello, gettingtheresometime, come on in; it’s nice to meet you. I wish I were going to Washington next week!
not only was it windy and I got my washing dry but the only rain we got was a couple of 5-10 minutes of spitting! Still need to water the pots again.
Rub it in, why don’t you, Denise. It’s bucketing here!:(
And I was right – we got gubbed 2-0.:(:(Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -
Evening all
It's been very windy here with occasional heavy showers but I managed to get my washing dry - the clouds were looming again at 5 o'clock so I popped back to get it in which proved to be the right decision as it's been raining on and off ever since.
There were a few casualties on the camping field last night but most people survived intact. Changeover day again, so we had a busy morning - bacon rolls, sweets and drinks for the journey etc, then more new arrivals this afternoon. Had quite a few orders for fish and chips.
My meal plans have gone a bit haywire this week, I haven't had enough vegetables to do what I planned and our local coop has had very low stock too. I've got plenty of salad stuff though, all out of date, but still edible. I might make salsa to use it up.
Welcome to the thread gettingtheresometime, it's never too soon to start trying, you can always give yourself some leeway for Washington and get on track when you come back. I wouldn't waste your money joining SW online, but it would be worth going to a class just once, to get the books so you know what's involved. You can find lots of recipes, syns and information online, this thread is a good place to start.
Beanie, enjoy your meal out.
I'm envious of you guys that have done jury service, I've always wanted to and never been called on. Mind you, if they sent me a letter now I'd struggle to take time off, and if they do it in the winter I'll be in Spain.
Have a good evening and enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Evening all.
Am really tired, have walked over 7 miles today according to my Fitbit.
My little talk went well at group this morning, got a certificate and gift from the consultant. Showed my before picture and people couldn't believe that it was me! Got a bit overwhelmed but managed to hold it together.
Hubby picked up the new car this morning so he's happy. Gone from a 57 plate Mondeo to a 15 plate Focus and it's fab.
Had a few syns today and have got some low calorie win which is called "B" made by Black Tower and it's only £3 a bottle. Tomorrow will be back on it with loads of veg on my Sunday dinner.

Hi all. Sorry I've not been on all week...life has kept getting in the way.
Was seriously thrilled shocked and generally all of a wotsit when I was voted Woman of the Year at group on Thursday. I found my fat trousers (from when I was nearly 6 stone heavier, 6 years ago - I lost 5 stone with SW back in 2011 but stopped before I got to target, kept 4 of it off for about two years and then it started creeping back on) and I could do the "fit all of me down one leg" thing!
I also lost 1lb this week, so my total loss now is 3 stone 1 lb and I am 13 lbs from target. I've got 13 weeks of countdown left (I bought one and a gift voucher for another one when the free journal offer was on, because I like the journal that much) so I'm hoping I'll never have to pay for SW again! That would be wonderful!
I need to get back onto my exercise bike and get pedalling though. When we lived in our flat, the only place for the bike was in the living room so I did 15 - 30 minutes a day while watching TV. We're now in our [STRIKE]giant[/STRIKE] forever house so the bike is in a spare bedroom which I hardly even step foot in!We may not have it all together, but together we have it all

Morning all
Well done Abbafan and Emmylou for being awarded Woman of the Year at your groups. Good idea to keep a pair of 'fat' trousers to show how far you've come. I never did that before as I had a huge clearout of all my larger sized clothes.
Its quiet here at the moment so I've taken the opportunity to write out a proper meal plan for this week to make sure I've got all the speed veg I need. Today I'm doing the corned beef hash recipe, thanks for the link Maman, it looks nice. I was given some runner beans by a customer yesterday so they will make a good side. Tonight might be lentil soup, made from the LO lentil Bolognese.
Have a great Sunday.

Well done on your Woman of the Year emmy.:T I'm so proud of the people on this thread. Real medal winners!!:A
Hope you enjoy the corned beef hash lois. Syns on line says that lean corned beef is 1.5 syns for 100g. I cut off all the visible fat from a can and call it lean.;) So it's probably about 8 for the whole thing including the generous tbsp. of horseradish sauce. That feeds two greedy people with a side of veg plus a portion left for me for lunch. I add carrots and mushrooms and courgette too this week as I had some spare. Then I top it off with sliced tomato and sometimes a sprinkle of cheese which I squeeze out of my HEA. My DH doesn't like eggs so we don't have those on top but maybe if you did you could make 4 portions. I have the LOs with pickles and/or salad bits.
I thoroughly enjoyed the veggie chilli with JP yesterday, probably have it for lunch again today. I made it up exactly as I would chilli con carne but just left out the meat. I added a beef stock cube as I'm not vegetarian. I use the HB's recipe but without the wine and flour and it wouldn't be me without extra Speed. This week it was peppers, mushrooms, carrots, celery and courgettes.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, scrambled eggs, bacon, HEB toast
L: probably JP with veggie chilli and cottage cheeseroast beef, SW roast potatoes and parsnips, carrots, cauli, broccoli
Syns: horseradish, HM gravy, weekend wine
It's dry with a bit of occasional sun here. I'm going to do a bit of Body Magic and walk to the Co-op later. I noticed that their Healthy Living oven chips are just 1.5 syns for 100g. My branch may not be big enough to sell them but I'll have a look. They'll be a good stand-by for CBA days and for when DH is feeding himself when I'm out.0 -
Hi. Gloomy day here. Trying to cut back some of the garden between the showers.
Brunch - beans and toast (Heb)
Tea - gammon, sweet potato mash, green beans and cauli cheese (5)
Milk as Hea
Syns cheese sauce and couple of glasses of wine.
Enjoy your Sunday x0 -
Good night last night.
Ate too much & drank some champagne and some rose.
Will be very surprised to get a loss this week.
