Thanks for the SW recipe community info, Lois; I’ll be looking into that.
mary hinge, are you ok – sounds nasty!
Tete, you [STRIKE]were much better behaved[/STRIKE] made much better choices when eating out today than I did. Well done :A.
I’d rather do longer hours and have a whole day free, shala, but enjoy your extra time today.
So how did today go?
Breakfast: French toast (hexb) with strawberries, blueberries, raspberries & brambles, topped with maple syrup (1 syn) and ff fromage frais
Lunch: lasagne (I’ll count this as hexa), delicious salad and garlic bread
Snack: half cherry slice and half fruit slice
Dinner (trying to redeem myself): hm red pepper & tomato soup, ML mango & passionfruit salad
Snack: will have to be fruit as I'm determined not to have any more syns today! (stable door & horse comes to mind)
Tuck yourselves up all you poorlies. Delighted you’re doing well, beanie.
See you all tomorrow.Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -

Thanks GT, I must say it feels good this morning having not made a total pig of myself yesterday ... hopped on the scales and I've lost 3/8 of a pound since yesterday so that's very motivating.

Morning all
The G&Ts went down very well last night.I had 2 cans (8 syns) and it was plenty.
Rubyslippers - hope you're ok. Not sure how much a plaster cast weighs but they are quite heavy. If you know how much you weighed before having it put on, deduct that from your weight with it on and you'll know if you're losing weight. (That's if you've got scales at home, and if you can stand on them!)Tete_en_l'Air wrote: »I'd not thought of using packet mixes on SW, but you're right the Syns aren't too high when split between the portions. This means I can start eating creamy things again! (I can't bear all the substitutes like Quark). Hang on though, those mixes are probably higher in Syns aren't they? Augh. Worth a look though.
Tete - the syns are worthwhile for some meals, just to make them a bit more like 'real' food. I haven't found a SW curry recipe that's a patch on one made with a jar of curry sauce so I buy the lowest syn version and split the syns about 60/40 with DH as he eats more than I do. The Colmans casserole mixes are between 6 and 8 syns each, so only a few per portion. The cheese sauce is 8 syns however you have to add milk, either as your HEA or synned.Weigh in last night for me was a STS, which means I'm joining beanie and Lush for a 1lb off next week to get my stone award - lets do it ladies!!
Can I join the group too Shala, I'm hoping to lose a pound to get into the next stone bracket (on the SW scales) this week. I seem to have been hovering on the brink for weeks.Hope everyone ready for the weekendwe've pledged 15 stone 10lb for the challenge so lets crack on....
We can do it!
Have a good weekend everyone.

Checking in with a 1/2 lb loss AGAIN!! At least it's a loss - I've not gained since I started (15 lb off)but I'm losing REALLY slowly...my pledge this week is to count every syn (including wine  ) and EVERY meal on plan with speed at every meal...4 weeks to my holidays and I'd love to be 13:13 or less...that's 5.5lbs to go.0

Finally feeling a little bit better
The bad news is all I ate yesterday was tinned soup, one of those half sized baguettes with butter and a packet of walkers cheese and onion crisps. Hoping that the mild stomach upset a cold always gives me (sorry if TMI) counteracts that a bit!
It's Top Boy's leaving school party on 22nd and I would like to be comfortable in my clothes instead of hanging over them. Plenty of speed soup and melon over the next couple of weeks, methinks!
I stayed in bed until 12:30 today and have managed a cup of tea and a banana so far. A melon awaits me. Not sure what to have for tea. Loads of vegetables in and some bacon, pasta and passata so I might throw together some kind of bake. Under strict instructions not to leave the sofa or I might have gone for the ingredients for slow cooked vegetable chilli as I just fancied one...0 -
Favourite synned meal that you make?
Mine is slow cooked leek and potato soup. 12 syns for the lot, makes 3 large portions and tastes incredibly buttery. Syns are for 75g lurpak lighter and 15g flour. I'm sure I could have a go with butter buds or buttery frylight, but it is worth it for me.0 -
