Thanks Lois, sounds lovely! And easy to make too. Thought I'd do Eton Mess but with Mullerlight yoghurt instead of cream for dessert.

I mix Quark and ff fromage frais together, it has the consistency of extra thick double cream. You can also add some sweetener if you want.

Thanks BEG, I might grab that one - saves me having to buy taragon etc. which I will probably only use once!

I have never tried quark Lois, this could be my chance!

In other news, I just ate two good handfuls of chocolate raisins with another two handfuls set aside for after dinner  I'm not in the right frame of mind today for some reason.

Another fan of the Schwartz packet mixes here - they have syns but aren't so bad when split between others. I don't know why but I can't make a decent bolognaise sauce for love nor money none of the SW recipes work well for me but the packet mix is spot on

Ugh at 1/3 of cucumber! I wouldn't have the nerve to give something like that when it's supposed to be a prize/reward

I've been playing about with the target chart and to be at target (or my interim target at least) for my holiday I need to lose 2lbs a week, that's do-able right? I'm feeling tons more positive lately, something inside me's suddenly just clicked. I'm sick of faffing around stuck in a rut of losing one week and gaining the next, so just hope these positive pants stick with me for a while :D No Junk July sounds fab to me

Ouch Mary take care of yourself!

Well done more losers this week :T

    Today's food:

B - overnight oats with Turkish Delight muller light (yum), satsuma, tea & coffee
L - ham with SW chips and salad
T - Zesty one pan chicken from the EE Express book with cabbage

    Syns today so far:

Protein shake (6), light mayo (1)

Yikes Mary, sounds painful! Take care!

I'd not thought of using packet mixes on SW, but you're right the Syns aren't too high when split between the portions. This means I can start eating creamy things again! (I can't bear all the substitutes like Quark). Hang on though, those mixes are probably higher in Syns aren't they? Augh. Worth a look though.

Well I've been out all day, resisted all manner of yummies for lunch in favour of salmon salad, and in Betty's only had a raspberry macaroon (raspberries are speed!!!), and came home and really couldn't be bothered to cook, was on the verge of getting a takeaway, but remembered a portion of teriyaki stir fry in the freezer so I had that with noodles :A:A:A So proud of myself!

    B - Alpen Light (HExB)
D - Salmon salad (allowing 3 Syns as it was a tad oily)
T - Teriyaki pork stir fry with noodles
Other: Coffee (4 Syns for sugar, HExA for milk), apple tea, Betty's macaroon (11 Syns in similar), Muller Light, hot choc (2)
TOTAL: 20 - Not bad at all for a Friday and I'm being totally honest including the oil Syns in an otherwise un-dressed salad.

    Happy Friday all :)
