    Morning all

Thanks everybody for all the congratulations. DH and I did raise a glass or two last night to wet the baby's head. :D

Elona - brilliant weight loss, well done! :T

I was ready to give up going to classes last night - I joined because I thought it would somehow have some magical effect on my weight loss and it hasn't. This morning I've given myself a good talking to and I've decided I will keep going until the school holidays start and then book 6 weeks holiday to focus my mind on a loss when I go back in September. And I need to be more accurate with syns - I know I don't count all my wine syns and guess at amounts for things that should be measured like spread.

I struggle to stick to plan far more here in England than I do when I'm in Spain - partly because of the temptations around me in the shop, but also because of the weather, I have salads most days in Spain but I just don't want them here so meals tend to be more carb based.

I'm also more active in Spain - it's much flatter and I walk more there. Here in Devon, everywhere you go there are hills, and I really struggle with my knees, whether it's going up or coming down. So when I'm here the only exercise I get is being on my feet in the shop and occasional walks in my spare time - not really enough - so I need to get more active somehow, just not sure how yet.

Sorry for going on about myself, but I feel the need to share how I feel with people who understand and to get the words out there.

    Have a good day everyone.

Hi Lois, firstly many congratulations on the new arrival. As a regular visitor to Spain (holiday home there), I can really relate to what you are saying, regarding eating salads because of the weather. Another thing that struck a chord was wine syns. Have you thought of changing your tipple to G&T? I think you get more bang for your buck so to speak:D

I also think that you probably have more time to plan your day in Spain in terms of food. If you're running a shop then I suspect it's probably more grab 'n go!

I hope you find a good balance, and I bet you can't wait to get back to Spain apparently it's scorchio out there at the moment. I'm off with my mum next week so I will let you know:rotfl:.

    Hi

First week of the challenge is this week lantanna, 27th Jun-3rd Jul.. I can give your first week a miss if you want me to, like debjay :D

Well done on that loss elona :T:T
    Feel better soon Topgirl :(

Completely understand Lois, your plan sounds good. It may help you say no to some of the "treats" you might have let yourself have if you weren't going back to class. Good luck.. keep plodding, it's a lifestyle change, do you knees feel better as you lose weight?

So glad is weigh day today, having a really stressy [STRIKE]day[/STRIKE] week at work so want to eat everything!! I think I'm probably on for a gain tonight (STS if I'm lucky) so plan is - get weighed, come home, have treat meal to stem the craving and then start a fresh tomorrow..

    Menu for today
    B - fruit salad, yogurt, granola(2)
    L - 2 ryvita(6), cheese spread (0.5hea)
T - HM tex mex burger (heb, 0.5hea) sw chips, corn, sauce (2)onion rings
    S - apple, crisps (5)

Treat - apple crumble and custard (many syns ) :o

Did someone on here make onion rings using smash? I can't remember if it was here or instagram, might have a go at that tonight (I'm aware it's a tweak :o)

Good luck for weigh ins xx

    Hiya

Shala - my knees are definitely better than they were, but still not great. They were the trigger to lose weight because they got so bad I was struggling to walk at all and I had to use a stick for a while.

Arkers - I was actually thinking G&T might be a better option. I've got a dozen of the cans of the ready made ones (slimline of course) and I've bought a lemon so it's all systems go, but not until tomorrow! ;) I bought the G&T to make some jellies a la Not Nigella, but I haven't done any yet.

Mary - brilliant result, well done for the great loss and for the new shiny. :j Didn't you want the mouldy fruit then? :rotfl: I always take something fresh, but I don't think everyone else does.

Hugs to you Candyapple - keep your chin up!

Thanks lantanna today's a much better day! Amazing how different things seem after a good night's sleep. Good Luck with the deflating :D

I'm feeling in the zone today - the only syns I've munched are the ones in my evening meal which was smoked sausage risotto (7 syns but totally worth it). There's an opened packet of oreo biccies on our sofa and I've not touched them or even been tempted by them - OH claims he hates them but has managed to munch at least half the packet :rotfl:

Lois the G&T cans with slimline tonic are fabulous, I always try and have some in my cupboard - I'm a bit of a lightweight alcohol wise so half a can usually does me. I've ditched the wine in favour of these little cans. G&T jelly sounds amazing!

2.5 syns for 1 tbsp of honey it looks like wiz so you weren't far off. Honey is the best thing for a sore throat according to my mumma, hope you get well soon :)

Hugs those needing one and well done more losers this week especially mary wow amazing loss :T

That link just takes me to a page about online membership?
    same here :(

Oh no! Well the way I get to it via the slimming world website is I click "my slimming world" at the top, then at the top right there's a button that says 'plan my weekly weight loss'. Not sure if that helps at all!
