Hi all, sorry if I've kept everyone hanging on for news, DIL was delivered of a baby boy, name still to be decided, he weighed a shade under 6lbs. Mother and baby are both fine.

Can't wait to see him. We're going to close the shop for a day, probably on Monday to see them.

I should be at class now but I stepped on my scales before going and I'm the same as last week and I just couldn't face it.

    Back tomorrow

Congratulations Lois Lane! I'm pleased someone is receiving good news.

I've not long found out that family friend will not make it. They took him off the ventilator today and he couldn't breathe on his own. The family are staying for now and saying their goodbyes but will leave wait for the news. Having spoken to my MIL who arrived when the ambulance were there it appears he was without oxygen for quite a while.
    Sorry to be a downer....

Evening all. Thanks for the chart Shala :) Think this is the first time I've actually achieved my challenge target! For next challenge would like to go for 6lb loss please. Was originally going to aim for sts but want to lose a bit more before I'm at a happy target I think. Will be back later with my first weigh in for the new challenge.

Bettyboof - is this the one you mean: https://online.slimmingworld.co.uk/my-slimming-world/target-planner.aspx ?

Thanks for the welcome back, Lois. That’s a good idea re the little gem wraps for fajitas – many thanks to you and to whoever originally suggested it. I think I forgot to say I had dips too. Oops! It’s not the chickeny bit that’s the issue is it? It’s all those other lovely things that go with them. Sigh!

Today has seen a great improvement, I’m relieved to say!
    Pre-Breakfast: banana
Breakfast: bacon and beans, half hexb toast
Lunch: Batchelor’s Broccoli & Cheese Pasta ‘n’ Sauce, beetroot, tomatoes, small piece (about half size of slice from small loaf) Mediterranean bread, toasted (guessing 4syns)
Snack: glass diet coke – couldn’t possibly eat anything along with that
Dinner: beef goulash, tagliatelli, Savoy cabbage, ML pineapple & peach yogurt
Snack: half hexb toast with hexa cheese, grapes

That's school out for the summer (???!!!!!???) here, so I'm excused the morning and afternoon runs (as is DH). Both my DD and my DDiL work in education so that's a help, although DDiL works in a different authority and there are some differences - October break being completely different, aaaaaagh!

I am so sorry that some of you have had difficult news. Take care.

Lois, welcome to grannydom :j:j:j – it’s great most of the time ;).

    Great loss slowly fading :T:T

Jock - I've added your result for this week but I don't have a target for you for this challenge...

Great that your now getting compliments Topgirl/Bettyboof :T:T Never seen the calculator Betty sorry.

:T:T:T:T Lois, congratulations to your son and DIL (and you and OH as grandparents!)

Sorry to hear your news mrsP :grouphug:

Emmylou, you're not an *rsehole, but your example does show we shouldn't compare ourselves against other people as other people aren't always 100% honest about their losses/what they're eating. My average weight loss is quite low as my weight loss swings wildly but as long as i'm still losing overall I have to accept it - always sit through group though if I've had a gain, with a right face on me obvs :rotfl:

Off to the cinema in a bit, just taking a can of pepsi max cherry as a treat.. no plus size box of popcorn for me :(

Been on an event at work today and the same tomorrow so i'm avoiding the biscuits they've provided!

    B - fruit salad, yogurt(0.5)
L - ryvita (heb) cheesespread (hea) crisps (5)
T - pork, bbq rub (1) salad, BNS, pickles
S - choc (2) Turkish delight muller

    Hi everyone

Checking with a 1lb loss for this week (assuming the new challenge started this week?), very pleased to see the numbers going the right way I just hope I can keep it up. Well done all losers so far and SOTW :T commiserations losers keep on plodding

Congrats Lois and family on the new arrival, I'm due a niece or nephew at the beginning of Sept as SIL is currently pregnant so the family are all a bag of nerves, I think SIL is the most chilled out of everyone :rotfl: both sets of parents are high as kites :D

Mrsp so sorry to hear about your friend :(

Looking at that target planner from rebster has made me realise I need to get my bum in gear because the rate I'm going my predicted progress sees me losing just 3lbs between now & holiday and I'm so determined not to let that happen, want to be firmly in the 10s by then

Horrible day today, I had to get passport photos taken. I always think I look younger than I am as I'm always getting ID'd when I buy alcohol etc but my god I looked about 15 years older in these pics  I wish you could at least half smile in these photos I just look like a grumpy miserable old cow. I wear specs usually and they say if possible take them off for the pics (stupid new rule) and I look hideous without them. Also I couldn't see my reflection to see if I looked half decent  Ended up crying in the street afterwards :o Not the best day! NSV though I didn't buy any chocolate afterwards which I normally would, did have a G & diet T though which made me feel tons better ;)

    Have a nice night everyone
    xx

Sorry to hear that MrsP, we also lost a friend yesterday, it would have been his 60th birthday today which seems quite poignant as we'll be reminded of him every time we celebrate our grandson's birthday.

Back from my holidays and I'll be surprised to have gained less than 1/2 stone after 2 weeks all inclusive. Weigh in day is tomorrow so would it be ok to post target for this challenge then please Shala? I'd obviously like to lose whatever I've gained plus a bit more if possible. Also, does it make sense to take tomorrow as my starting weight rather than + what I gained on holiday if that makes sense? Should I count it as STS and then post +/- from next week?

    Sorry for all the questions.

    Hope everyone is ok.

I noticed someone posted earlier about doing SP....I get the gist of it, but information I've had seems to be contradictory. The consultant doesn't seem to explain it very well, she's said that you can't have yoghurts, but if you want them you can syn them. I'm not sure how you can do that if it's free in the first place.

I can't seem to live without yoghurts and I've asked what I can have instead, I just get the answer as "syns". What can you use instead in your overnight oats, as I love that?

    Thanks in advance.
