I'm finally getting somewhere - five lots of PPI found and waiting on several more.
As I said, CAB or FOS could have helped you locate this errant insurance and even the Banks themselves would tell you this information without charge.

Nothing you have said has changed anyone's mind about the use of CMCs and individual companies will certainly never be recommended in this or any other thread. Advertising is not allowed.

Any disability you may have is entirely irrelevant I'm afraid, as free help is available from many different sources including this website..

"Ableist"," mansplaining", attacking people for pointing out errors. What a pleasant attitude

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Now an "archived user" which suggests he has requested his membership of the forum be terminated.
Obviously, he never received the answers he wanted to hear... ;)

I appreciate this thread is quite old now but it looks like Which have a tool to help you do this for free.

Just Google "which ppi tool" and it should be near the top after the adverts. It's very quick and easy.

WHich have no access to your personal credit records, only you do, so there's not much point using a tool on a third party website when you might as well use the same one on the companys website that you borrowed money from.

It always pays to read the (old) thread before posting.. ;)

I realise that some people choose to use reclaim companies but why would you? On average they take about 25 to 30% in fees. That would have cost me between £12,500 and £16,000 after successful DIY claims in 2012 and it's so easy!

I can understand that you may feel you are unable to do this yourself and I would certainly not criticise you for feeling that way. Do you have a friend or relative who might be able to fill in the forms for you?
