Sorry to hear that about your dog, Onmyway2 xx

3 social events..... hmmm..... it's my sister's 40th, one of my children's 7th birthday (usually means a family meal and a birthday party for friends), my mum's birthday and we have a voucher for afternoon tea which needs to be used.... oh, and we're off to the pub on Thurs for our monthly night out with friends. And I've just remembered it's my beastie's husband's birthday - possibly another meal out!!! Arrggggghhhhhh! My poor purse - and my poor waistline!!! :D

I have 2 social events planned so far....one is a chinese meal with bf and his family, we were going to go to the pub beforehand but I think we might now drink at his parent's house first (saves us some pennies). Also got a girly meetup in a few weeks, we normally go to eat and drink in central london, but none of us are too flush as we're all saving so I'm sure it won't break the bank.
I've been really good in April with NSD, so I'm confident I can get at least 16, most weekdays I don't buy anything, and I'm very good about bringing in food for lunch at work (normally eggs, and I get fruit and veg free from my work so I can request loads to bulk up meals).
I've been good eb@ying stuff I don't use anymore, had some success this month, will keep at it and find more stuff to add to my shop. I've had a spendy day as the last day of April (and especially as it was payday :D) so will try an reign it from here.

    Oooo I'm excited for May!

Can you please add me? Going to need some motivation this month.
Unfortunately May 1st will be a big spend day as our family dog has just been given weeks to live so we will be driving for 2.5 hours to take her for one last paddle in the sea.
This will be my kind deed for tomorrow & I will check back in on Monday.

    How utterly heartbreaking. So sorry:(

So this month I am trying a different approach and have signed up for a 6 week financial boot camp (online) which will help me learn new ways to make money. I will pass on anything good that I find out.
I should technically also have the £50 extra earning covered already as my gas and electricity bill should be at least that lower due to switching off the heating on April 1st & not using the tumble drier all month.

Here's looking forwards to the start :)

    Good morning Turtles

    Pinch punch no returns :)

Sitting here trying to weigh up a trip to the British Museum with the family today. Son is doing Greeks as the theme for the summer term and a visit has been suggested as beneficial. Could do it on one bus. Decisions decisions.

Had an email this morning confirming an extra £100 income so that was a very welcome start.

Right up and at em. Back later.

    Pinch and a punch!
Up and at em in May!

Sadly I will start May overdrawn (thanks to having to buy new glasses!) which is not ideal but I'm going for a very tricky 10 NSDs in a row until the CB goes in. We have plenty of food as we have done our massive stock up at the supermarkets we work for so should only need to top up.

Two social events this month but think I might bale out of the first as it's before the 10th, the second one is a camping weekend at an event at the end of May we are crewing for so will be saving for food to take to that, we can also eat on site at reduced rates so might buy one meal a day.

There is loads of overtime going at work ATM so I'm going to sign up for at least an extra one a week if I can which will mean an extra £100 this month, just have to see what DHs hours are like.

DH is going to apply for a 0% card so he can buy another car, we've scrapped the old one and he has had money back for tax so he's putting a that towards it, again it's not ideal considering we are both CC DF but he does need a small car to get him to work and back, yes he can use the train but there are so many delays and cancellations and recently he had to put 3 claims in that it's becoming more and more unrealiable which is a shame when the service is there on the doorstep.

Meanwhile for today I am relaxing in our lovely dining room, looking up at the blue sky, drinking coffee and meal planning while listening to the radio, it's lovely.

Good morning Turtles! Happy May to each and every one of you, and welcome to the challenge. Thanks so much to Calling for running a fantastic April challenge. I went a bit quiet for the last couple of days of last month because I needed a few days off from everything to get my head straight and sorted out. It is well on the way to being sorted, and my cold is on its way out so things should be on the up for me personally in May
This is also a quick check in to update contenders (if I've missed anyone then please shout out) and say welcome. I'm off to work in about 5 minutes but I promise I will update properly this afternoon once I'm home.
