Hangover cures - Hmmm, a bit late for this one, but apart from drinking loads of water before you go to sleep, take lots of vit C and even 1 headache tablet with your water.

After the event - I just drink tea and water, stay very still and try to send the kids to someone else. I don't do hangovers very well, so I tend to drink earlier the stop when everyone else is getting into the swing of things, so I'm fairly sober when I go to sleep.

Water. Lots of it. The main cause of the headaches is dehydration. Ideally you should drink a pint of water before you go to bed. If you get up in the night to go to the loo, which is highly likely, you should drink another pint.

Also eating something, even if it's only a slice of toast, as early as you can possibly face it in the day can help a great deal.
