Liverpool Airport PCN

Hello,
I have just got a PCN at JLA because i have stopped on a roadway for 30 seconds to just set up my navigation. Everything happend at midnight, there was no traffic. Obviously i did not know i cannot stop there, because i have not seen any signs around that i cant stop.
I have read many threads already, but i cant find any up to date.I
would like to ask should i appeal or challenge the notice (did anything changed, can i win it easly?). I do not want to pay this fine, because this is just ridiculous.
If it is needed i can show my PCN for any help

its not a "fine" , its an invoice, a pcn

nothing has changed about VCS and JLA in over 2 years (or 5 years if you count the previous BPA membership)

please read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread, following the IPC and IAS sub sections

VCS will turn down any appeal , as will the IAS, then its 6 years of hassle

DO NOT REVEAL WHO WAS DRIVING, this is very important for this airport sc@m

The scammers that infest some of the smaller airports are in cahoots with said airports as its is a (allegedly) mutual financial arrangement ....

Go back several years and you would have won this at a POPLA appeal ..... however in the world of PPC's they created another trade body (the IPC) that have a (again allegedly) kangaroo court (the IAS) The IAS seem to treat appeals as a lottery 80%+ loose irrespective of the evidence.......

you therefore can, after reading the below, do the first appeal (a new template appeal for the IPC is available) ,and then ignore .... or do the appeals as a paper trail.

A while ago VCS did try out a small claims court case over such ....and as predict that they pulled out before the trial ..... . They did not dare try placing this before a real judge! and have not yet tried again ..... I wounder why ?

Here's a link for you to study in detail. This is a long-running thread, the original poster of which is really pushing very hard from every angle to try to stop VCS in their tracks at LJLA. It's the most vigorous campaign by miles. Please read it as it will expose everything you need to know about the sc@m that is perpetrated daily in Speke.

Thanks guys for all the advice. I will start writing my appeal just got 1 more question.
Is anybody familliar with entrance of iparking at JLA. Pic below shows where i stopped and i would like to know if there were any signs saying i cannot stop there. I was driving off from the parking and i believe there were no signs at all, so that could be my argument i did not know about any no stopping prohibition?

Regular poster 'esmerobbo' lives close by the airport and has detailed local knowledge. Why not PM him and ask if could confirm?

I believe many pictures have already been posted on here and pranksters blogs about this site, maybe one of those contains the area in question ? although they tend to feature the airport roundabout and signage on the approach roads and that roundabout due to being where most people pick up their pcn,s

Unless of course you threaten to counter sue and make yourself such a PITA to them that they will decide not to pursue you. They may well realise that, if this went to court, the health of their golden goose could be seriously damaged.

I stopped such of threatening to counter-sue, but did state clearly that should a court date be set, and they subsequently pull out the day before (like normal!), I'd persue them for my costs.
