It know how you's feel. I was pregnant end of 2006 but unfortunately I had a miscarriage. I then had to put up with the 18 year old daughter of one of OH's friends PRETENDING she was pregnant then PRETENDING she'd had a miscarriage, then my sister got pregnant, then a girl I went to school with and her sister, then a girl I used to babysit! (our mothers are still best mates so we still have contact) and endless women I work with (2007 was like a baby boom in our offices!). And even though I'm sure it wasn't intentional, the girl I used to babysit for and a couple of people at work said really insensitive things to me extremely often. That added to the fact that my mother was more unhappy at my being pregnant than at me having a miscarriage even though my sister having children is the greatest thing in the world, it all made me quite bitter!

But these days I'm glad OH and I didn't rush into having a baby so soon after I miscarried and we had a year and a bit to be just the two of us as I fell pregnant really quickly when we got together (purely accidental!) and we got to enjoy spending time together and get settled and have decided that now we'd like to try for a baby... here's hoping I'll be as quick to fall as last time!

Still no period here. I'm now on being 9 days late. I'm starting to think this might be some sort of phantom period, because I'm still experiencing the back pains. I went to the doctors to make an appointment yesterday. Not because I particularly think I'm pregnant (2BFNs would really suggest I'm not), but because I've been so ridiculously tired for a week or so, I'm crying a lot and I'm still not on. I've got these back pains, and stupidly large, painful boobs. On Thursday night I had a terrible night, and my parents convinced me to go to the docs. On Friday morning I decided I was fine, but I'd better go anyway. I went in through the door to the reception thinking it was silly to even be going, then the lady told me there was no appointment till Monday and I barely made it to the car before breaking down in tears.

Anyway, I had a good night out last night, and today's been fine, so I feel ok again at the moment, but I'm still going to go in to see the doc on Monday morning. Not quite sure what she'll be able to do for me, but I don't want to feel like this any more. I'm pretty miserable in fits and starts (even if I'm fine in between), and I want to be sorted out. I don't think my husband can take much more of my ups and downs....
Am not witty enough to put something cool and informative here:o :o

They are the dip stick ones...have 'borrowed' some plastic cups from the water cooler at work in preparation :D

I'm at work - and have not opened the box yet to read the instructions as i know once it's open i'll just have to try one out! And as so many of the lovely ladies on here use them i thought i would ask!

    Hope your headache goes soon!

Hi Stargirl, sorry to not get back to you sooner... did you manage to hold out, or have you tested...? Working backwards from the info in the pack, I think the 25mlU hCG can detect as early as 3 or 4 days before AF is expected-- though the moneysaver in me sez "wait until you're at least a day or so late":D
Brilliant idea about the plastic water cooler cups... I may be taking some home myself!

ps- headache was mostly gone yesterday but trying to come back today? thanks for the good wishes, though1
