Discussed again with OH last night... all very exciting!
I mentioned the thread to him and decided on a vague plan (no such thing as vague for a virgo!)
The plan is, start reading up on foods, dos and don'ts, pre pregnancy health care etc now, then come off my pill 25th December and start TTC on Valentine's day next year!
Got lots of homework (and saving) to do between now and then!
Thanks for all advice. I'm off to search the web for pre TTC forums / hints and tips etc.
feeling very excited this morning!
ETA: I have to book in for some tests... OH is mild heamopheliac. If I 'carry the gene' as it were, all boys we have run a big risk of being the same.
I'll of course, let you guys know about the test results!
*crosses fingers*
much love and babydust!

Hi ladies (and Meltrix if you're about lol),
Can anyone who does temp charts help me? Just for my info as this month I ovulated (it looks like) for the first time in ages and my BBT is up. I understand the BBT goes down when AF is on her way/arrives, how long before AF comes does the temp start to go back down? Or is it when she does come rather than before?
Just so I can keep an eye out for it going down, or staying up, so I have some idea if she's coming as I don't know how long my cycle is meant to be this month.0 -
Hello everyone..can I join in too please?!
We started TTC about a year ago now, after I'd been on the pill for a few years. My doctor warned me that it might take a while to conceive as my cycles hadn't exactly been regular before I was on the pill (and even when I was on it, they did their best to keep me guessing!)...but after 8 months I found I was pregnant. Sadly I had a missed miscarriage just before 10 weeks, so had to have a D & C. That was in the middle of June and now it looks like my cycles have returned to normal...so now I will start hoping again each month! It's CD6 for me today..
I've been lurking for a while and decided that now was the time to start posting. So I'd just like to say...babydust to all!:jBaby boy, Hugh, born on the 8th June 2009, weighing 2.5kg:j0 -
Following last post I made. The brownish discharge (such a crap word and sorry if TMI!) I have been having since Wed has now turned into what looks like AF, which is just over a week early??? Usually get the brown stuff before AF and I suppose it did start a bit early last month too but not this early.
I also wondred if anyone knows much about Microgynon, what it is, is that I was on it for about 9 years and came off at the beginning of this year or so. Did something a bit daft last weekend and took a pill on Sat and Sun (don't ask, had a horrible fight with OH and was stupid and horrible) but haven't taken any more and that would have been CD16 and CD17. Brown stuff stated on Wed so 2 days after the 2nd pill and now looks like AF so what I wondered was has this happened by taking the 2 pills or would this not cause this reaction so soon and only by taking 2 (possibly after ovulation)? I am a numpty for taking them and I hope it hasn't messed up my cycle (which to be fair was starting to change itself prior to this possible spanner in the works).
Thanks for your opinions (PS. you don't need to tell me I am a wally, I know already!) as I can't find anything relevant when doing a Google search!0 -
Re Microgynon this was the combined pill I was on for many years - it's of the higher dosage variety I believe not the modern low dosage type?!
I would think by taking a couple of pills depending on where in the pack they were located (were they white or brown ones if I'm remembering Microgynon correctly!?) you could quite possibily have confused your body somewhat.
I wouldn't worry too much about it now.
Brownish discharge is pretty common I think - I have a cervical erosion and often get pinkish/brownish and this was stated as the cause by my consultant0 -

I do BBT. My temp goes down usually a day before, or just the morning of the day I start bleeding (evening/afternoon).
I have been looking through my charts this morning and I thought I'll just check my chart from 3 months ago, when I had a horrible pain in my lower abdomen, so much I could get up from bed in the morning - had to stay for extra hour and it was really really bad, not just that day, but a day before and a few after. At the point I just thought I am having the worst AF ever, 2 days early, but now looking at my charts I am not that sure... My temp didn't go down really for about a week after I started having pain and really bad bleeding (sorry if TMI, but that was the first time I noticed small cloths...). So, it makes me think it could have been a very early miscarriage... (I just keep thinking that we are never going to be lucky!!!!)
Anyway, CD27/28 (usual), temp still up, getting a few niggles, but I think they are the same as always, just when you are in 2ww everything seems more important. Had some shooting pain on the side of my boob today, but I am not going to let me think of anything! If temp is till up tomorrow, I might do another test... Although, I am having a friend around, so don't know how I would react and how would I be able to hold it if BFP!!! But I don't expect it to be BFP!!!!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

"Microgynon 30 (ethinylestradiol and levonorgestrel)
Main UseActive IngredientManufacturerContraception Ethinylestradiol 30 micrograms, levonorgestrel 150 micrograms.Bayer
Microgynon 30 is a monophasic pill. This means that each tablet has the same dose of hormones in it. One tablet is taken every day for 21 days and you then have a seven day break from pill-taking. During your seven day break, the levels of the hormones in your blood drop, which results in a withdrawal bleed that is similar to your normal period."
So all the pills are the same.
Yes, I have always had some brown stuff too, that is normal for me. I reckon it might be my cycle sorting itself out after being on the pill for so long without any real breaks- it was pretty much the same regularity up until last month coming every 28 days or so like with the pill (6th month after stopping taking the pill) and now it might be the extra hormones have cleared my systems completely and its a bit squiffy and hence not so regular anymore? (I did get a bit nevous about maybe being pg and ordered some tests off ebay last night (10 of the early testing ones for £2.65 FYI) but I reckon it's not that yet- might be safe to have the rose I got with my M&S dine for a tenner deal nowwine Fridays!!).

It could be very early implantation bleeding depending whether/when you ovulated - perhaps take a test anyway seeing as you got 10 of them!
Good luck
When I concieved my 2nd baby (unplanned my DS was only 9 months at the time) I had aforementioned brownish and then a short bleed - interestingly enough I'm ashamed to say I had taken a large amount of hormones in form of the morning after pill as I had a feeling I'd ovulated and with such a young baby didn't feel ready for another but this did not stop my determind DD - thank god as it turned out bless her!)
I will be joining you in the drinking of rose wine this evening - my fave has turned from red to rose recently I've found!0 -
Ooh, that's one thing that went through my mind about it being IB (managed to not use a condom on CD15 by date counting accident! So might have been around ovulation theoretically)- I thought as it has turned to more of an AF type bleed that it couldn't be that?? Although from what you have said above that may not be true.....
(Will check later on to see if still have a flow or not-used a tampax light a few hours ago so I suppose this might help decide which it is?).
Maybe I should put the rose on hold till I do a test? I was really looking forward to my wine Friday though0 -
Yes depending on your normal cycle and when AF is actually due it could be IB - really difficult to tell though - perhaps put wine on hold if you possibly can.
Good luck x0
