Trying To Concieve

Hello everyone!
I have been reading this thread with interest for a week or so now and have decided to take the plunge and post!

Firstly Congratulations xredwebx and sparkle03 for your BFP's!

A little about myself:

my name is Nic, I am 24, been married 18 months and TTC since Dec 2007. was pregnant1st cycle but lost the pregnancy at 7 weeks (4 babies in there - doctors couldn't beelive we weren't on any form of treatment). M/C was a medical management which went v smoothly and completed at home. Were told to wait a few cycles before TTC again so have tried in May (last fertile day due to hubby being on business in America ), June and July. i think that due to us getting lucky first time round on cycle 1 I automatically expected to be pregnant straight away. the realisation that this isn't going to happen has been a difficult and painful one, as I am sure many of you are aware. i have gone through phases of crazily symptom spotting, and all i can say is thank god for cheap pg tests on ebay! I'd have cost a fortune otherwise.

Now here's the problem, i'm on CD25/30, and was quite happy forgetting that we are TTC, until I woke up to a very slight brown discharge / marking on my underwear which I can only guess as an implantation bleed. (I Ov'd last wed/thur from what I can guess due to changes in my body (not temping or charting). So what do I do now? i really need to put it to the back of my mind and wait till monday (at V festival from tonight till then) but all I can think is that this could be it!!

I guess I'm not really after any advice, I think I just need to get my nervousness off my chest a bit!!

Hello Nic, and welcome!!!!

As youthink it may have been implantation bleed, what about one of those cheap ebay pg tests?... I know, we shouldn't test until AF is due, but who can hold out??? I am not that strong... Can anyone telol me where to buy patience???

I would test now, but if it is implantation then I'm not sure today would be any good as I thought that ur HCg levels only start to go up after implantation. So I dont think I would get a BFP even if i am pg, and I'm not sure I want to spend all weekend feeling glum!!

i am toying with the idea of taking a test with me, but I dont really fancy having to do the test in festival loos - the ones I have are the hospital style 10miu ones and they require that you pee in soemthing and then use a pipette!!

oops!

ps why does wanting to do a test always make to need a wee?

Hiya,

I wasn't given a choice - they just told me it would be full anaesthetic, which I was quite happy about!

Thankfully I had no problem with the anaesthetic, and my clinic were lovely - made me gallons of tea afterwards and some lovely sandwiches. Not sure they will be as good if I have to do it again, as now they have moved & combined with the local NHS clinic, their service is nowhere near as good.

Both my ET's have been painless - a little uncomfortable, but no pain, even though they said I could take paracetamol after if I needed to, luckily I didn't.

I am feeling better than I was on Tuesday Thanks! (had massive headache & nausea all day) but am still soooo tired. Last time I put that down to the after-effects of the anaesthetic, as the only time I had one before I slept for days afterwards!....but this time I'm on a 'natural' FET cycle so no drugs to blame it on.
I also have a really nasty tinny taste in my mouth, I'm quite bloated around the middle, and I keep getting 'fluttery' sensations in my tum and esp on the left side. Am really trying not to read too much into anything, but it is sooo difficult!!!!!
If I can just get through the weekend I will start to be better I'm sure -16th was the EDD for my previous 'angels', so I expect to be thinking a lot about that.......

Well, I decided after hearing quite a bit og you are using the Boots temperature thingy that I would go and get one myself. Hopefully it will let me learn more about what is going on in my body in prep for TTC month 2!

Take care of yourself!!! It is not easy, but look forward that there maybe another angel getting comfy inside you!

I know what you mean about 'fluttery' sensations - I am getting those as well!!! It is annoying, as I think maybe that is a sign that we are successful, but I am sure it is just another 'hopeful wish'... And I am more bloated today, was nothing like it yesterday - my trousers don't feel as loose as they did over the last few days! (I am loosing hope to get pg!!!)

I agree with you, I think its too early.
I would try and forget about it and enjoy the weekend. Try to hold out testing until at least day 30 when you are due AF or even later if you can, let the HCG levels build up sufficiently.

As you can tell I'm not a believer of wasting money and testing early Personally I wait until I am at least 3-5 days late before testing.


Also, I don't know how much your tests cost on e-bay but accessdiagnostics are, IMO, competitively priced and have free delivery.


Edit to add~ I also meant to ask if you normally get any spotting/dirty brown stuff prior to AF starting? Could it be that? I get it every month so its normal for me.

Hi everyone, I'm not trying to concieve, although I think I have. Ooops! Me and OH are only 18, still at college, scared but excited.

I'v not taken a test because I'm not due till Weds, so will have to wait a bit, but we did have an accident 2 weeks ago, and I'v started feeling sicky,metallic taste in my mouth, feeling kind of "detached" from my body (if that makes sense?) My nipples are more sensitive than I thought possible, I'm constantly tired and lethargic and feel very rough tbh.

Just thought I'd let someone know as I can't talk to my mum yet until I know I am 100% so thought I'd tell you lot

congratulations to xred and sparkle x x x we will be due about the same time. my due date is 13th April. that 12 weeks mark is so far away!!
