If your health authority won't consider scanning for reassurance, you may find a private scanning place that will - this one in Leeds would charge £70 for a 'foetal viability' scan.

Well, it looks like AF has finally arrived. I have never really been late, so I am concerned. I normally have a cycle of 35 days and it's now here on CD 40.

My copy of taking charge of your fertility arrived this week, and has opened my eyes!
I'm starting charting my temp to see what is going on. I'd used OV tests this cycle, but now realise that maybe i didn't actually OV, as the tests only show the surge of LH which could make you OV.
Something that I didn't realise is that taking anti histamines whilst TTC can dry up your CM, so therefore really not help the little swimmers. I stopped taking mine a few months ago, but now realise why I have so much more CM.

I do have some good news though, my very sparkly engagement ring was delivered yesterday, and I can't stop staring at it! Ideally we want to get married in 2010, so I do want to get PG soon, or might put it off and bring the wedding forward!

I know friends of ours came from middlesborough to Leeds for their private scan. Do you live in Scarborough?

    April-May cycle was 31 days.
    May-June was 38 days.
    June-July was 27 days.
I am now on day 28.

So if I use my last cycle I am 1 day late or if I use the one before I am not due for another 10 days!
*hugs* Oh Shelly! I've read that we should wait to test until after the longest recent cycle-- 10 more days in your case (and 2 more in mine, but I was naughty and tested this am, another v. faint line 2, am hoping it's the real thing and not another "chemical pg").
Testing too early last month was the cause of some heartache and confusion for me- esp since the AF showed up while I was stuck in a car with a coworker who isn't my best freind, lets just put it that way! :D (though notice it didn't stop me jumping the gun by a couple days again!:rotfl:)
This waiting thing is hard, isn't it?

Thanks. I kind of came to that conclusion myself. Realised that I should wait incase it was late again. Need'nt have worried myself (or you guys) because AF came with a vengence late on friday with CD1 as saturday, making that cycle 30 days.
I have an appointment on Tues with Doctor so i'm going to see if there is anything at all I can do to make my cycle lengths pretty much the same each month though I doubt there is because the fertility specialist said he isn't worried about my varying lengths so long as I don't start having too many longer than 34 days.

My early predictor tests came today so couldnt help myself ............ another BFP!! I will not relax until I have had a scan though as had a miscarriage at 10 weeks earlier in the year. Do you think they will scan me early as had a blighted ovum?

Probably depends where you live. I had an early scan on the NHS with DS#1 because he was a "precious pregnancy" (their terminology - aren't all prenancies precious?!) so you may get one if you ask. I was in the SE at the time.

Actually I've just remembered - when I asked our GP about a nuchal fold scan (he hadn't mentioned one - they're not offered here) he gave me the telephone numbers of two places in Leeds.
