As I seem to have my grocery shopping, hopefully, under control now I was wondering about an internet shopping thread, just checked my Ebay and Amazon to see what deliveries are pending this week,
I do tend to get lured by posts of deals, 1 or 2 mouse clicks and it`s bought, considering starting a thread, but not sure if much interest, could call it, "Do I want it, do I need it, can I afford it" suggestions please.
Checking sites to see what's on offer seems a bit dangerous imho. It's a bit like going to the sm every day, as you're sure to see something you would like.

Surely the 'Do I .....etc' is the mantra of MSE and it's a useful one to use in all types of spending - not just grocery shopping :money:

Personally, I prefer to have a budget, make monthly menu plans, make shopping lists and try to stick to them - though not always slavishly :o

Spends yesterday = Morrys of £3.25

    Today was another NSD :j

Hope you all have a great Wednesday

A few more spends today following 3 NSD. Homebargains £32.09, Poundworld £7 & Aldi £70.15 which means I've already passed my target budget by £13.54! On the bright side we now only have 7 days left this month so we might need more milk but that's it. Not bad for my first month back in the saddle.

Last week I bought the ingredients needed for spinach and ricotta canelloni.Yesterday I thought I'd better get on with making it,but I "didn't have" any eggs.So went to local corner store and bought expensive eggs and expensive milk: £4.69,thank you very much .When I got home and went to put it in the fridge, found I already had a dozen eggs :o.
Today I did a bit of a top-up shop at ASDA:£16.45(potatoes,sausages,fruit.)Later I realised I had forgotten frozen peas and corn,so got those as I was going past Iceland:£2.65.Total spent today £19.10,total for the month £252.49.

Another £49.68 at Aldo - have spoken to DH and DS, I buy, almost automatically the making for them to have sandwiches and rolls each day, and they havnt been having them, so I waste, I,m guessing about £5-10 a week, I have told them I will make some basic ham rolls and put them in the freezer, then when they do want one they can just add salad when needed.

I,m going to be over this month, but at least it makes me think about what I,m spending :o
Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

    Hi,

Been ridiculously busy this month so just posting an update. We've managed to shop really well this month and so far we've spent £220.12. I've even managed to bulk buy a few things that were on offer so that should help us over the next few months.

Hopefully things will quieten down over the next week so I can catch up with all the posts! :)

    Hi everyone,

So sorry I haven't posted much on here lately (since 7th June). Work has been manic and a few issues at home with DS1 which I won't bore you with :(

I just wanted to officially welcome: The Only Girl and ramblehan :D Hope you are both enjoying the challenge :D

The July GC thread is up and I'm on the ball, so I will see you all over there once you've finished for June. Bye for now.

Blown the last of this months budget, Lidl £18 odd and then drove to what was a Family Bargains, now it`s a £1 store, they even have reductions on the £1, it`s end of lines or seasonal stuff, spent £13 so that`s it till July.
Do I need it or just want it.
