I wouldnt be so hasty to blame Quidco, quite the opposite in fact, this is all down to some dodgy companies such as the AA. Personally I have found Quidco to be genuine and have £569 paid into my bank account since July 2006 to support their activities. The real issue is of these dodgy companies trying to make a fast buck on the back of Quidco but very short term thinking in my opinion, when the word spreads about AA and like minded companies they will soon learn that to save £25 initially it is going to cost them a lot more in the long run. Once bitten twice shy!!!!!:T

I fully agree mate but there must be some kind of comsumer protection out there for this type of case??????

Just a note for anyone putting a dispute in make sure you add your name, address, email & membership no!

What steps can we all take next? Can somone drop martin a mail or point him in the direction of this thread for his opinion? I believe many many people will have been caught by this!
Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.
  • I too was also declined, even my dispute was declined by AA, they said I never went via quidco which I did. I would never have took the policy out if it wasnt for the quidco incentive. I feel ripped off by the AA.

Took 2 out in January and they were both declined. I did a query on it with quidco and got the following respnse:

Unfortunately your enquiry has been unsuccessful. The affiliate network investigated and found that this transaction was credited to a site other than quidco. This probably occurred because you had competing cookies on your computer.

Sounds like a load of porkies to me. Has quidco gone to big for its own good?
Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????

I forgot to add that I raised a dispute over this and got the following reply:

This probably occurred because you had competing cookies on your computer. For help on how to prevent this please have a look at Kind regards, Quidco
Thing is, I never went through another site, nor was there anything wrong with my cookies. I've never had this problem before with Quidco. I know for a fact my cookies were fine. Personally, I don't think it's The AA or Quidco to blame, but rather the tracking company.

It shouldn't really have taken you to my own quidco, though, as it's the normal Quidco help link!
