Need some advice re daughter and current situation: UPDATE

    Again, the answers to your questions will depend on your daughter's ability to understand and weigh up the risks.

    Supported living is a way to give people who need a bit of help the ability to live in the least restrictive environment for them. It could be someone like you or I who need a bit of extra help for physical or mental health problems but otherwise want to live exactly the same sort of life as everyone else with friends, relationships and the right to make bad choices and go awol if we understand and choose to take that risk.
    Or it could be people with a severe learning disability who need support all the time to keep safe and who therefore don't ever go out on their own and would be stopped if they tried.
    It covers a huge variation in the people it supports.
    All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

    I second or third what others have said, you can't be done for abandonment.

    The seventeen year old me rang the police to check i could leave home without patents consent, they said yes i could, so i did. Mum did threaten the police, i just told her i had already spoken to them and thats that. this was 1986 but my parents weren't done
