So, I've just got off the phone with the fertility clinic, my next scheduled appointment is April!
I've asked for a copy of my results from the scan & blood tests to be sent out to me & my GP.
I'm frustrated that they weren't going to tell me anything for another 4 months!0 -
If you're interested in the use of progesterone supplementation to achieve a successful pregnancy google "cyclogest".
I had early m/c on cycles 2 and 4 of clomid but for cycle 7 (usually only 6 cycles allowed but as I'd conceived using it they gave me an extra chance)I was given cyclogest pessaries to use from ovulation. I was told that it would help the egg mature. Cycle 7 worked (and is now 15 years old) - I used the pessaries until week 12 I think.
I read here occasionally in case there's anything that I can add that may be helpful.0 -
Thanks cranky40, Looks like you need a prescription for it though, so I'll definitely ask about it tomorrow.
Just realised as my next appointment is only April that means I can't even get my hsg till then, I hate all this waiting around.0 -
pkk what fabulous news.
AuntPickle sorry to hear about your loss, it's horrible isn't it (I've had 2).
Welcome new folk.
Sorry you are having a hard time skimper did you meet with your friends? FWIW, when I was pregnant I had 2 friends message me (separately) to say they jut couldn't met up with me due to their struggles with their fertility, I could empathise and accepted their feelings. We have remained friends since, chatting via whatsapp. One is now pregnant herself.
We've been taking a break. My period still hasn't shown up and I'm not showing any signs of ovulation, then in November we had a sudden and unexpected family bereavement which has taken our focus.
Basically I don't think there's anything I can do until either DD weans or my periods do return, whichever is sooner. I don't want to stop feeding her yet, so there may be a bigger age gap than I'd like. It has been nice not thinking about it though!0 -
No, I told them I couldn't make it & we could re arrange for the new year, depending how i'm feeling I might tell them. I did tell one when she was first pregnant 1.5 years ago that we were trying, so I think she probably knows were struggling. I think if I told them the truth they would understand. I just hate people knowing were struggling for some reason, I guess I just don't want people knowing my business.
I had my doctors appointment this morning, They said the blood test results were fine, so its not low progesterone that's causing the spotting, my TV pelvic scan looked good too, & if there was anything going on there causing spotting it would show & i'm up to date on all my smears. So she doesn't think its anything sinister & could be trauma from the scan & stress. I need to keep an eye on it and go back if it carries on over the next few cycles.
I'm going to use the progesterone cream I bought anyway to see if it helps, & I've been reading that taking baby aspirin (below 80mg) everyday can help, there was a study where it helped people having trouble implanting & miscarrying to conceive by +30% & at this point i'm willing to try anything!
Rambosmum - Hope your period returns soon so you can start again! And sorry to hear of your bereavement.0 -
How is everyone getting on?
I'm just entering fertile week, along with the spotting after OV I've started bleeding after sex, normally only there when I clean up but tonight it actually ran down my leg when I stood up 🙈 I was at the doctors last week about the spotting and said all tests came back clear including the pelvic scan, so I don't think it's anything to worry about just more of an inconvenience.0 -
middle of fertile week here too
I think when I had some post-bd spotting it was due to me having a tilted uterus (which in turn leads to a "tilted" cervix). The cervix can also move around slightly which means it's at different positions at different times so it might get "bumped" during sex.
hope that makes sense!
(I know there can be other reasons - so as you say, it's good you've been checked out. It can just be "one of those things" - annoying but not serious)Rock, Paper, Scissors, Lizard, Spock0 -
I'm CD7 today but who knows when my fertile week will be, my cycles have been anywhere from 135 days to 26 thanks to DS feeding more/less at different times. I feel like I'm starting to get into a more 'normal' pattern for me though, so should OV in 5-7 days if that is the case.
Hope everyone is all ready for the big red man

I'm sorry to hear of your bereavement Rambosmum. We had an unexpected death in the family in november last year so I know how painful and difficult it can be to process. I hope you are doing ok.
Skimper - I've had similar in the past with bleeding after BDing. I was told I have a cervical ectropion causing this. It was just when I wiped as you say but then I had a couple of instances where it was literally everywhere and was bright red. I went back to see a specialist who said this wasn't my cervical ectropion but rather my uterus contracting and shedding a layer. She said it is perfectly normal and harmless and nothing that could be done to stop it. I was told these had started happening due to hormonal changes in my body.
We are just over 9 weeks pregnant now. We have a private scan booked for Monday to check that everything is still ok. There is no way I could wait until 12 weeks!
I hope you are all ok. I think about you all alot. I hope you all have a great Christmas and that Santa brings you a BFP!0 -
pkk exciting about your scan. It'll all start to feel very real after that, and lovely to have before Christmas.
One of our friends has just old us she is pregnant. I'm obviously over the moon for them but also a little green-eyed!0
