  • Sorry I've not been on much, I didn't track last month the OPKs annoyed me I could never tell if they were positive or not.

AF was late this month by 4 days, I sent my OH to get me a pregnancy test, he came out with a box of 20 (I think) clear blue OPKs and 4 pregnancy tests we don't have a monitor so he had to go back for the monitor, the one that works with the pregnancy tests (I think) is £90 so we got the £30 which doesn't work with the pregnancy test so we then had to get some normal pregnancy tests, which was the clear blue digital not sure how much that is but we spent well over £50 on things for me to pee on the other week.

currently CD 8 I got a peak reading on the CB OPK on CD7 4 days earlier than I thought I was Oing so this could explain why I've always been out as we weren't taking BD seriously this early in my cycle. Hoping for a Christmas miracle.

Will catch up with you all now, but welcome newbies, in the nicest possible way I hope you have a short stay.

    Welcome back missmoose.

Looks like I've only had 1 day of actual period, I'm back to spotting. So I'm not sure if I should change the date of the cycle to a few days earlier when the spotting got heavier. Either way my fertile week on ovia may be a few days out so will need to make sure we cover ourselves. Ive got a few opks left so will try and time those right so ive got more of an idea.

  • Thanks for the birthday wishes ladies. I had such a wonderful weekend with my family and my husband. I am exhausted today as we were very late getting back home last night!
Sorry for those that AF got.
This is the first cycle I have temped and I have found it very interesting and I wish I had done it much earlier! I would definitely recommend it. It isn’t useful for knowing that ovulation is about to happen, but it is good to know that you HAVE ovulated and when then after a few cycles you will start to see if you ovulated the same each month. I used a BBT in degree Celsius and log it in Fertility Friend. My husband has an alarm for 5.45am for work so I take my temp then whilst I am lay in bed with my actual alarm going off at 6am.
Thank you so much for doing the lists Skimper, it does make life a lot easier as there has been so many posts since I was last here on Friday (which is good but makes updating a few days worth time consuming!).
    Welcome back Miss Moose

CD28 for me now. Ovia and FF both say AF is due Thursday however FF says I ovulated on CD18 so I think anything up to around Sunday could be possible for AF.
  • Still lurking here!

Skimper, is a 1 day of proper period normal for you? The only reason I ask is that I has what I thought was a normal period - had bleeding (red not brown) for my normal 3 days and used tampons etc. It was a day later than I was expecting but when it arrived it just assumed it was AF. It must have been implantation bleeding though as I got a bfp the day after bleeding stopped but still had sore boobs. I also got a positive on a opk which I knew couldnt be right if the bleeding was a period. Don't want to get your hopes up (and feel free to tell me I am completely wrong) but something to bear in mind.
  • Skimper, I also got my BFP after 5 days of spotting including one day that was as heavy as a normal period. Have you tested?
  • PKK - (regarding charting and temp taking) - exactly! I charted for quite a long time before conceiving J and so now FertilityFriend pulls up all those other months of data and can make even better analysis (the more data it has to use, the more accurate it gets with its predictions etc). So for example I know that the earliest I have ever ovulated is Day 13 but I mostly ovulate Day 14 or 15 (the latest is Day 18).
That's quite a substantial piece of information to be able to use - we're really trying to plan BD this month!
I am determined to get a nice Christmas present!!!!!

I usually have 2-3 days of light spotting of pink/dark brown, which is very on & off, then 4 days of normal bleeding. This time i've had 4 days of light-medium spotting & 1 day really heavy bleeding & then 1 day of spotting when it was going off.
I tested on Saturday which was the day before the heavy bleed & it was BFN, so I dont think I'm pregnant. I have a spare test at home so if I get symptoms then I can test.
Interesting that you can have a period & still be pregnant!

Fingers crossed Skimper!! I am staying hopeful for you :-) it doesn’t sound like your normal cycle so fingers crossed it is because it was implantation bleeding!

I am having a very long day at work - I have also not applied for my dream job at my previous workplace because you have to be there a year for maternity pay! I am hoping that is not Sod’s law and knowing my luck will take over a year now and I will be devastated! Really didn’t time moving jobs in the first place correctly!

My thermometer has arrived - going to start using FF once I start my next cycle! Trying to guess that my period is due around the 7th. Just want it to come (or not if I have been lucky!) just so I can start tracking!

    Happy Tuesday everyone!
