  • Thrift360 glad you see you back :) I feel you on the disheartened part. I'm glad you have picked yourself back up though :)

Tryingin2018 my hubby has his sperm analysis on the 1st Nov! There was a long wait for ours due to staff shortages :( He has to produce his 'specimen' in the clinic too poor thing! It said on the form he could take it with him but he wasn't given this option when he booked. Are the blood tests for you or OH?
  • Weve had the opposite. He saw the GP Friday and was given a list of appointment days! He's got to "produce" at the clinic too. I feel for you both having to wait, the thought of the results makes me anxious but id rather know.

The bloods are for him too, I'm hoping that when I see my GP Tuesday she will do the same.

  • Oh my OH wasn't referred for blood tests and from what I've researched online that doesn't seem to be typical for fertility checks for men. It is good that his doctor has done this! Do you know what the blood test is checking? Or is it just a random general wellness check one?

I am sure you doctor will refer you for blood tests also. I am going to go for another set on Friday and Monday (If I can get there, which may not be possible at the minute).
  • Aunty Pickle welcome back to the thread, I hope your stay is short!

CCJ how's the pup? We literally treat our dog like a baby lol so I can understand the worry, hope they're doing ok!

PKK great to hear your ankle is progressing, fingers crossed next month you can get back to TTC! Did you give the temping a go yet? I'm really interested to see what you think of it.

Very jealous of you all talking about holidays, unfortunately no way we can afford one for a few years now at least so if any of you can I'd say just do it! It can always be sorted or sold on if you do conceive and can't go, or it may be nice to have just one last holiday as a party of 2!

Spoke to my GP on Friday. I didn't mention TTC, just that I've been off the pill for over a year now and still getting erratic periods and it was as I expected, she has said it's highly likely my weight is the issue. She agreed anyway to do some blood tests to check things like my hormones, thyroid and blood sugar etc, but that if they all come back normal it's down to me to tackle the weight before they would do anything else. So it's Slimming World and the gym for me from now on!

Hope everyone is well xx :)
  • So Prince Harry and Meghan are expecting a baby now...lovely news but how do the royal family manage to get pregnant so quickly? It’s not just them, I can think of 6 couples we know that got married after us and had a baby before their first anniversary. I suppose they might have been trying before the wedding but it still seems that we are in the minority!
  • Pup is doing much better buttermint he's to go back tomorrow to see them so hopefully all will be well. He always was in good spirits - he's super hyper all of the time and was even when he mustn't have been very well so it's hard to tell if he's in pain!
ginger that was my very first thought! I was grumbling in work about how soon it was, I'm sure I've drawn attention to myself about ttc from it lol. I know of a few people that have had babies before their first wedding anniversary too, must be super fertile lol. I think the fact I was with DH so long before we got married (7yrs) is perhaps why...def don't BD as much as we did in the early days lol.

  • Hmm thats a good point, we were together 9 years before we got married and I agree about that!

Fertile week started yesterday and OH is going away with work today. We have managed to BD yesterday and this morning but I suspect its too early and when he gets back on Friday itll be too late!
