    Hi everyone!
I thought I'd rejoin as I remember these threads were so lovely last time! I have J who is 3.5yrs old - he's asleep right now as we live in New Zealand so it's evening time! :)

We've only just started trying again these last few months - I'm on CD13 (cycles usually pretty regular, around 28/29 days) and hubby is away this week with work - typical!

  • Hi aunty pickle, love the name! Welcome!

So my nightmare continues lol...still a lot of stress in the aftermath of our loss last month and now our beloved dog has to go for an operation tomorrow. Relatively minor issue but when they make you sign the consent form about the risks of anaesthetic :( I expect that my period will be late again this month!

  • Aunty-Pickle, welcome to the thread! What was your journey like when you were here for your 1st little one?

CCJ, oh no! I hope your dog is ok after their operation.

Well temping isn’t going very well… the first morning I had forgotten to take the thermometer upstairs and today I forgot to do it! From what I have read you need to do it as soon as you wake up before you even sit up and I am tending to remember after I’ve been up gone to the toilet etc.

I think ovulation is going to be in the next few days for me. Ovia says my fertile week starts on Tuesday so I am wondering if I may be ovulating earlier with a long luteal phase than Ovia expects based upon my CD21 bloods last month. With the broken ankle there has been no BDing and OH is pretty stressed with work at the minute so I can’t see this cycle being our cycle anyway. Won’t stop me suggesting an early night tonight haha

Hi Aunty-Pickle hope you find it just as lovely this time round as well I know i have so far

Oh no CCJ you poor doggy hope he'll be right as rain. I have two dogs and they are very much my babies so I know just how you're feeling right now.

PKK how is your ankle going? Do you know when you'll be back to normal with it yet?

Well no holidays for us next year as got too many weddings including my kid brothers. My best friend is getting married back in her home town in Southern Ireland but tbh I really dont want her to marry the bloke I cannot stand him they are constantly splitting up and getting back together he is just a loser through and through. However she is my best friend I will always be there for her so I will be happy for her and wish her the best. I've told her my thoughts (mildly) when they have been one of their off phases but she knows I'm here for her regardless of what she chooses to do.

Got all four wisdom teeth being removed next weds so that's going to be fun (not) got to have a general because of how their postitioned but luckily my local NHS has referred me to a private hospital free of charge so at least that's something lol

Booked tickets to see the band me and OH saw for our first date last night as been together 10 years next month so that's something to look forward too and we are having a day out in London on Sunday so I can go to air canadas pop up poutine bar to cheer myself up before weds

    Hope everyone else is ok

  • Aww PKK how are you managing with the ankle??

Faith that sounds lovely with the band! I know how you feel about your friend with the guy, I've a similar situation with one of my friends and I think the more you try and push someone one way, the more they'll go the other!

Dog is good at the moment, feeling very sorry for himself but through the op okay, has to go back on Tuesday so we'll know more then! Would break your heart seeing how sorry he is lol.

  • The ankle is coming along thanks Faith and CCJ. I can now walk on the boot so I am more mobile. I just need to start building up the time I am on it. I am hoping to go back to work towards the end of next week but it will be another months before I am free of the boot!

I'm actually CD13 at the moment - sorry for not updating, I was feeling really disheartened and gloomy but have picked myself back up again and am now in the midst of my fertile window. Trying not to do OPKs etc this month and attempting a more laid-back approach whilst limiting coffee and taking my pre-conception vitamins.

Sorry to hear about your ankle, PKK, hope you're on the mend soon.
