Out of curiosity how many times do you all BD in the fertile week (if you don't mind sharing).

I went back and looked through each month and realised that we possibly haven't times things as well I thought we had! I know it only takes once to make a baby but obviously the more times the better chance you have of timing it right.

PKK someone told me it's better to do it every other day so that's what we've been doing during fertile week. I wonder if I ovulate later than what my app tells me tho!

Most of the time we get 3 times, odd chance we've had 4. Is 3 times enough? If we do every other day?

Just adding my 2 pence into the conversation, during fertile week we used to BD as often as we wanted, sometimes this could be 3 times a day.

Every other day is fine, but if you aren't tracking ovulation through temping then make sure you carry on even after you think you've ovulated so you're not stopping too early. Also remember that you can ovulate the same day as a positive OPK, so don't just have zero sex up until you get a positive.

Not feeling hopeful this month as according to Ovia I had exactly the same symptoms on this CD the last couple of months, even down to feeling like doing more cleaning, haha. I know some people don't get any symptoms until or even after their BFP, though, so I suppose there's still a chance.

We have been trying the every other day approach too. I read statistically everyday gives you the best chance but the increase from every other day to every day was negligible and there was concerns that it becomes and chore and not enjoyable which means the end goal may become a struggle! I thought we had done really well on a few months where illness hadn't affected us but I think we often were just outside the designated days or plans meant we weren't able to DTD. I must admit I think my ovulation could have been earlier or later some months so this month I am going to make sure we keep going a few days after ovulation! (Thanks for the tip celepie!)

We managed 3 last month and hopefully will manage 3 this month too if we DTD tomorrow.

It is reassuring to know lots of you are also going with the same approach. HappyLassie I have no idea how you sometimes managed 3 in one day! hahaha We occasionally do twice if we have a lazy morning and an evening of no plans, but that is few and far between this days!

I am feeling more positive. We had some good news as we sold our house yesterday which has improved our mood no end! And I am much more mobile on my leg now and I am going back to work next week. So hopefully the happier frame of mind will have a positive impact too

We try for every other day as well, definitely couldn’t manage 3 times a day! We try and keep this up for a while afterwards as well just to be sure. OH works away a lot though so it’s not always possible.

Ovia says fertile week is over but I’ve had no positive OPKs or any other signs of OV, I really hope this isn’t going to be another long cycle.

I definitely think general mood and life stressors can impact on fertility.

I think I might as well be moved to the 2WW please - my cycles are generally pretty regular and I rarely go over 32 days, hubby was away during fertile week so I really don't think there'll be any BFP for us this month.

We have the "BD every other day during the fertile week" mindset too . Although, we only BD twice the month J was conceived (I remember because we had gone on holiday and it was really, really hot and we had a huge row and then were supposed to BD that night - but didn't lol cos I was still mad!)
