GingerSaurus it really is so frustrating having long irregular cycles as you literally cannot predict when you're OV or when AF is due.

That's why I thought using the OPK's straight away would be a good idea, but even they didn't help as the first time it came up with the high fertility reading, this bleeding started out of the blue!

I guess we'll just have to BD as often as we can and hope for the best. For now I guess I'm at CD4 x

Buttermint - If it helps I also had a 'high' fertility reading just before I started to bleed, however I realised that it was detecting the estrogen rise and that happens before ovulation, and also just before your period too. The 'peak' is when it detects the LH rise alongside the estrogen rise, so if you'd carried on taking tests you would have found that it never reached peak. I'm fortunate that just over 1 week later I got more high readings, and the peak came 5 days after that, so pretty much bang on what would be a nice regular cycle. Fingers crossed you get the same!

HopHop thank you for that- that explains a lot. I just stopped testing as soon as I got the bleeding but hopefully this means I will be OV again in a couple of weeks if my cycles have indeed returned to normal.

We are just going to try BDing without using OPKs for a while and see how we get on

Rambosmum ah that!!!8217;s a shame that you have to return everything! I don!!!8217;t think it was made clear you had to keep any faulty tests to send back though, I would have just thrown them away if I had any.

Gemini90 I had a phone call within a couple of days when I sent my info for the study. How long is it since you applied?

Skimper sorry for the BFN. It is so disappointing when you have done all you can isn!!!8217;t it.

HappyLassie13 congratulations! How did Oh react? When approx. will you be due?

Buttermint Welcome to the thread. I had regular cycles for 6 months after coming off the pill then I!!!8217;ve had a 49 day and 42 day which I am finding extremely frustrating! If your cycles aren!!!8217;t regular then I think just regular BDings as much as you want is the best advice!

GingerSaurus Welcome also to the thread. I am glad you have unlurked too as we were getting a little quite with lots of BFP!!!8217;s recently! I had regular cycles for6 months then a 48 day and 42 day cycle. I went to the doctors after the 49 cycle and she just said that it is normal. The medical advice seems to be that it can take a year for your cycles to return and regulate, which is really frustrating!

Sorry for the lack of lists updates, it has been a busy few days. I am feeling very deflated at the moment. I am convinced this isn!!!8217;t going to happen for us and that I have something wrong. I!!!8217;m off work sick today for another reason so I am going to try and get a docs app too. I have one next week but if I do have some more sinister going on I need to speak to the doctor asap.

I had 2 faulty test throughout the study and i did just bin them as it did not say to keep tests that were no good. Hopefully this won't back fire on me.

OH knew i was doing a test and i'd been sick on Saturday so we kind of expected it, i walked into the room holding the test and called his name and he said "Wheres my inhaler?" i couldn't stop laughing. he's so excited and been reading up on where we are right now etc.

Baby will be due around 25th January as we are in the very early stages. 4 weeks + 3 days.
I am such a worrier and i'm worried already.

Congrats Happy Lassie! Hope you have a very boring 9 months x

I'm in the 2WW now, joy of all joys. Pretty sure I ovulated yesterday but wasn't tracking much this month so can't be sure.

Sorry you're feeling a bit down, PKK. I think most people go into TTC thinking that they won't be able or that there's something wrong, but as we see on here, it usually just takes a different amount of time for different people and chances are there's nothing wrong, it's just a case of everything going right at the right time! It's tough, though. I'm getting a bit fed up of it now!
