Morning all - well, I'm 5 days post ovulation (assuming I did OV - was temping but chart looked like a rugged mountain range) . Managed to BD for all supposedly fertile days. I'm crossing my fingers but I have absolutely no symptoms what so ever....and my temp is coming down so....
Anyway I'm away this weekend for a wedding, going to try and just forget about things until I get back.
Wishing you all huge amounts of baby dust and hope that those who've had bad news recently are looking after themselves - sending you all virtual hug and large glass of wine xx0 -
Good luck Meepmeep and I hope you have a lovely weekend away. I definitely find distraction is the key to getting through the 2ww. I've updated your DPO on the list for you.
If anyone else knows their suspected DPO, please let me know and I'll alter the list. I know not everyone is tracking though. Mine is a guess for me based on OPKs (I usually guess that the day after my positive OPK is the day I ovulate unless I have ovulation pains, which hasn't been happening so much recently).Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -
No, I don't think you're being silly Athens. It's disappointing enough when AF shows up without testing, so I'd wait until AF seems to be late before doing a test (others may feel different and want to know sooner of course). Fingers crossed for you.
Hope you enjoy your weekend away Meepmeep, nice to have a distraction from symptom spotting (or 'symptom making up' which is the usual case with me!).
I downloaded the Ovia app which some of you have mentioned before, seems better than the other app I was using which was more of a period tracker than a fertility one. Feeling a bit more hopeful this month since my husband has been around to BD at the right time (maybe, who knows... Think I'll get some opks if this isn't our month).0 -
Athens I was the same last month, I SS and tested obsessively, then AF arrived two days earlier and it started with spotting which never usually happens. I agree with waiting until AF is late, its what I am going to try to do this month.
big - I used Ovia for two months, I deleted it this cycle because I wanted to stop tracking everything and go with the flow...that hasn't really happened so far lol. its really useful for tracking ov. I still get the emails though and it said today is my most fertile day so will try BD this eve x0 -
Thanks Big. This is what I didn't want to get in to. I've done whole TTC thing before and know how all consuming it can get. I think I just need a breather and chill out a little bit.
Last cycle I tested what I thought was 14dpo and was negative. Ummed and ahhed about whether to buy another cheapy which I did in the afternoon and before i had chance to use it AF arrived in the evening. It's just so disappointing.
Have a nice weekend Meep, hope your 2ww proves fruitful.0 -

When we were TTC, OH wouldn't test until she was at least a week late with AF.
Even in months when I was SS and thinking it seemed likely she was pregnant (had two occasions where I felt there was a really strong chance but it turned out to be wrong)
On one occasion she was a couple of days late and had symptoms. However AF did then show up suddenly and very heavy. It could well have been a very very early miscarriage. But if she had tested early we may have got a positive and then found it so much worse when AF happened.
Her attitude was always to try as hard as possible not to think about it in the TWW.
Just trusted in the fact that really the only reliable pregnancy symptom is a lack of a period. Since these can vary by a few days anyway she always waited a week.
Besides the fact that we would have spent a lot of money on tests, I think it would have driven us both mad if we'd been testing every time. It's difficult enough anyway TTC.
As hard as it is to avoid it's really best trying not to SS.Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

I'm not sure when I ov'd this week, but I am due my period two weeks today, so I'll say I'm now 1DPO.
Judging by CM I think I ovulated on Sunday/Monday but the emails I get daily from Ovia still said yesterday was my ov date, but I had no CM or other signs so not 100%. My best friend's baby is due this week, I'm really excited and I think that's going to be a massive distraction in this TWW.
I have another close friend who had a baby a week ago who had a tough time TTC. She said she looks back and wished she hadn't worried so much during TTC, as the worry never stops during pregnancy and is even worse now baby is here, she wishes she'd tried to enjoy the TTC a bit more xx0 -
Driving home from the supermarket earlier, husband asks "do we need to do it tonight, or is it game over for this month?" Who said romance was dead, eh? :rotfl:0
