Official Trying to Conceive - Thread 13

Hey all!

Well I go to the doctors to find out where Auntie Flo has !!!!!!ed off to and come out with a trip to the Diabetes Clinic. I've also gone hyperactive!, not fair why do I end up with diabetes and hyperthyroid and put on weight! Still, the diabetes nurse was quite kind when I burst into tears, and has assured me that because I'm pre-diabetic (1 point below being diabetic!) and is going to see me in a month to see whats happening with my sugar levels, and hopefully the symptoms go away.

So Doctor reckons my missing period is due to going hyperthyroid and stress. I'm definitely a bit stressed, it's my due date tomorrow and although I thought I was ok I cant stop when someone talks about my health or babies. It'll also be the 1st anniversary of my dads death on the 31st June, he died rather unexpectedly on holiday in Greece at the age of 62 so completely unexpected.
I've decided to listen to the doctors though, the diabetic nurse has given me details of a bereavement counselling service to deal with my dad dying and the miscarriage, I've also joined the gym, yoga is harder than you think and I have the PT session later :eek:

Sorry this ended up being so long, it scared the crap out of me when they said about the diabetes, I'm just so sad at the moment and I just needed to vent!

I have no idea where I am cycle wise I'm just using your lists mouse.

We went to a christening on Sunday and I realised I am getting very bitter at times with this whole thing so will be glad to take a step back this month no tracking etc before we book at doctors in a few weeks after holiday.

So had a chat with GP this morning - she didn't seem overly concerned & said that they like couples to be ttc for 18 months before starting any referrals :eek: However, based on my age, she said she'd be happy to refer me on if nothing has happened by the end of the summer. In the meantime, I'm booked in for day 21 tests, TFT & rubella check, & hubby has to leave sample in for semen analysis. I may have told a little white lie, & said that we've been trying a year already but tbh I think the end justifies the means & I do feel a bit better about having started the ball rolling.

Feel like I'm in a bad mood with the entire world atm, but since I'm due to ovulate any day now I have to be nice to my husband at least (even if he's getting on my nerves). Been taking it out on the weeds in the garden.

I'm currently SS and being a really big worrier.

I think I may have got my dates of OV wrong. It's difficult when you're only going off cm and now I'm SS I'm getting worried that if I test early get a negative and then AF arrives I'll be really disappointed. So I think I'm going to add a couple of days on and if AF hasn't arrived by 30th then test. Which going off the list would put me 17dpo.

Am I being silly?

I have been feeling nauseous and funny bloated windy tummy for a couple of days but that seems to be my new pms symptoms since the mc. So much for NTNP.

As you say, it's so hard to judge what are pms symptoms or pregnancy ones, particularly when you really want to be pregnant. I hope that it is pregnancy causing your symptoms though athens.

Thank you. I don't think it helps that I'm 'monitoring' OV and I have PCOS so may not actually be OVing at all. I should just be thankful that AF has been arriving to give me some sort of guidance though, as she has been sporadic over the years.
