Hey i'm hoping to join the thread!

I've been off the pill for 4 days and we've decided to wait till after my first period before we start trying so we can keep track better. A bit nervous, last time I was off the pill for 2 weeks(through forgetting to take it) I had really bad symptoms. Stomach cramps, nausea & dizziness and bit scared of that happening again but I need to get it out of my system.

We get married in March, so we are not preventing but not suoer trying before then. I'm all excited for our next chapter!

Welcome skimper! Congratulations on the wedding - how is the organising going? We got married earlier this year and it was the BEST day. Fingers crossed that your symptoms aren't too bad, at least there is lots of chocolate and food around this time of year if they are! haha I have been using the Ovia app to keep a track of my cycles and I have found that useful.

Hello everyone!

I'm new to TTC and Jan will be our first month of trying. I'm on CD3.

My periods have traditionally been irregular although they've been better this last year, although still not like clockwork! My body doesn't handle hormonal contraceptives very well so I haven't been on any for about two years.

Right as there are two newbies, hi Skimper and Celepie, I am jumping in too! Is there an award for longest lurker as I feel I’ve been with you ladies forever (sorry that sounds creepy!)
I did not want to join any sooner as although I’ve been feeling broody for a year now, my husband has took awhile to get his head round it. Anyway my last depo shot ran out in January and I stopped all hormonal contraception in March and started using Natural Cycles to track my cycles. It tells you ‘red days’ when you are fertile and should use further protection and over the last few months hubby has been consciously ignoring this so I think we’re finally ready! Last month I actually felt I could be pregnant and was disappointed when AF arrived.
So here we go, today is cycle day 21 and I’m 4dpo.

Prettykitkat- wedding planning is going good. Think everything is sorted, just need to finish off a few bits I'm doing myself. Scoffing all the chocolate now so the pre wedding diet can start haha. 1 week in and so far no symptoms.

I've got a feeling it's going to take me a while to get my head around all these acronyms!

T4 I know what you mean I kinda stalked this thread for over 6 months before I joined at the beginning of the year, was really broody but wasn't quite in that place yet to start but it felt nice to read up about what others were doing

Welcome T4 and Celepie - it is nice to see you joining us I lurked for a a couple of weeks but then was posting for a couple of months before we started trying.

Skimper - I am glad the planning has gone well . I did quite abit of DIY myself too. We chose our venue specifically because I wanted to get involved more. It is so satisfying to see your handiwork all come together on the day.

I have restarted the lists. I *think* I have got everyone that wants to be involved and the CD's right. Please let me know if yours needs amending or you want adding .

My clearblue advanced digital ovulation sticks have arrived. I am CD 7 today and ovia is predicting my fertile period as starting on CD 16.

Those of you that use OPK's when would you recommend starting to test?

I have just been reading the SMEP and thought I might give that a go.
