Sorry to all of you that AF found - although at least she will have gone by xmas day!
I think I will buy some tests so I have them should I want to do one on xmas day so I can be 100% sure.0 -
Thank you for the warm welcome, all the other TTC communities I have come across are quite salty. I am doing okay after the miscarriage I was told that it was because there was more than likely a genetic abnormality so as sad as it was if it didn’t happen I would have had a very poorly baby.
I was told that if i’ve not had AF after 6 weeks (New Years) then to test but i’m Thinking that means I’d be quite late so I think I’m going to test Christmas morning if i’ve not had AF. I’ve Already started symptom spotting last time I got UTI like symptoms before my missed period which i’m getting again. (Is that TMI? Sorry if it is)0 -
Not TMI at all, its a lovely group that from what I've seen support and give encouragement / advice where they can.0

Hi all
Sorry for been quiet, Selement I think it's as you say we are all busy with Christmas things which I'm appreciating as it makes the days pass quickly.
Me and OH are in Edinburgh for the next couple of days and have both finished work for Christmas now, just looking forward to Christmas now.
My apps still say due xmas day but I might do a test on the morning, I don't think it's going to be this month though, certainly don't feel any different and only had the one time timed well!
ive read before that if you do end up drinking before you know in the first few weeks the umbilical cord isn't attached so nothing is reaching the baby.
Zeni, I'm glad you've had a more relaxing month. I'm considering next month taking a break as I'm going on holiday in Feb and would like to enjoy it with some drinks!
Fingers crossed for some good news for us over Christmas, we usually seem to get at least 1 of us on here that catches each month! Xx0 -
I agree that this grup is lovely
Dot - did you decide to test this morning?
I've had quite abit of doscharge this last few days, sometime just watery abd sometimes a little browb. I feel like this is unusual, so it is making me wonder if AF may arrive earlier than Xmas day.
Can you believe it is only 5 sleeps till Christmas Day now! I finish work tomorrow and can't wait! I have alot of little bits to do and sort out, plus I need to give the hoise a really good clean! Is everyone else prepared?0 -
This morning and yesterday evening my opk results were darker than normal but not as dark as test line. I guess this is the problem with cheap tests. So I'm not sure if it counts as positive or not... online research has some people saying only results as dark as test line count and others saying they only had a fainter line and conceived. Hard to log on my apps if I'm not sure of result.
Will test again maybe later today but definately tomorrowTrying to lose weight (13.5lb to go)0 -
Hi PKK, sorry I've just read my messsage back and can see that it's confusing! I meant I will test on Christmas morning. That's using my average of 29 days but last month was a couple of days over that and month before a couple under so I'm not completely sure of my cycle anymore!
Ovia says I can test from 2 days time but don't think I will it's too disappointing seeing bfn, saw plenty of them last month!
Hmm brown discharge, could that be implantation? I know if that was me I'd be taking it as a good sign but that's because I never get anything strange before AF, she comes in full force haha. Is it normal for you?
I'm not really prepared for Christmas still a few presents to buy and none of them wrapped!
Selement- I've read too that it must be as dark as the test line. You could have missed it though. I've done ones before that with fmu wasn't that dark but after a lot of cramping did one about 4/5 hours later and it was very dark. as far as I understand that means ovulation is coming within the next couple of days, I guess that's how people can still conceive with a fainter line xx0 -
So this evenings opk has gone lighter. Does this mean I should count the medium lines as positive now? Estimated ovulation based on last month would be tomorrow so a surge yesterday/this morning is probablythe right time?Trying to lose weight (13.5lb to go)0
