    Good Evening,

I've not posted in a while, same old with me...no AF no BFP
I wish AF would just show up, never thought I'd ever say that but now on CD42 and I'm so sick of POAS :rotfl: the disappointment :(

Welcome Missmoose, sorry to hear of your mc and hope your cycles come back soon :)

Have you had AF since stopping contraception? If so it's normal for AF to take a while to be normal. It took mine 8 weeks to come after stopping the pill.

Missmoose sorry about your mc :( stick around you'll know what cycle day you're on soon enough I'm sure. I was posting on here before I knew... got very impatient!

Yes I had a withdrawal bleed then 3 weeks later my 1st natural AF...nothing since. I'm really fed up now, before my first pregnancy and before pill I was 27/28 day cycles like clockwork.

Any news anyone? Its getting a bit quiet on here. I suppose we're all distracted by Christmas! I have an assignment to do and so I'm posting more as I'm a terrible procrastinator...

  • Nancyo - that is frustrating for you! I hope AF comes soon for you.

Selement - what are you studying? I was always a !!!!!! for procrastinating also! I have been away for the weekend, it was lovely to spend some time with OH and friends. I have an extremely busy week ahead until the big man comes! I'm just on the countdown to AF being due then I can think about whether we are going to try something different next month to try and get lucky.

I have had sore breasts this weekend, I noticed this last month too so I think it is just symptoms of AF being due in 8 days, however it is hard not to wonder isn't it?
  • Also, those of us due on christmas day... what are you going to do in terms of POAS?

I don't think we BD at the right time this month, so I won't think we are pregnant, however of course it isn't impossible. Xmas evening will potentially involve alcohol... so I am wondering whether to do a test on xmas day before drinking just to be on the safe side? Or wait for a few days to see if AF arrives first?

Last month AF was 4 days later than Ovia predicted so I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't arrive xmas day.
  • I've always been a bad procrastinator! Problem is it wasn't so bad when I was a full time student but now I'm working full time and doing post graduate study part time. It's related to my job don't want to get too specific as it isn't a very big field...

Ovia has changed my fertile window today suggesting I mostly missed it! I think it's because I said I was experiencing cramps earlier. Glow says I won't ovulate until Thursday. Opk was negative today (but faint result which I think means it's coming soon)

Drinking over Xmas is an interesting one. Lots of people know have drank heavily before realising they were pregnant with no ill effects but then I'm sure official advice would be not to. I'll be in my 2 week wait then. I think I will drink a little but not much.

  • missmoose - welcome, and sorry to hear about the mc - hope you're feeling better soon. As someone else said, your cycle will probably take a while to settle back to normal but at least you'll know what day you're on.
Selement - I'm a dreadful procrastinator too (I'm on here instead of working!), I used to even do housework rather than study when I was doing my postgrad (alongside working full time, so its not like I had the time to procrastinate!)
Been using Ovia this month and its shifted my fertile window twice (not moved when AF is due though). Got a positive OPK on Saturday morning, unfortunately not BD'd since last weekend and as I was out Friday and Saturday nights and full of a cold yesterday no BD this weekend either. Guess I'm in the TWW list now (though not holding out any hope). At least it means I'm now not due on Xmas day and can probably risk having a drink or two.
Away a few days this week and finally finish work on Friday - so probably won't be on much til 2018.
Meanwhile Merry Christmas to everyone, hope AF is gentle to all expecting her over the holidays (and Santa brings a BFP for those still in the game), and here's to a baby making New Year to us all.

  • Oh well, like I thought, AF found me yesterday. I was obviously expecting this so no hope lost. Ready for the next month :)

CD1 here but as knew it was coming im fine with it as def missed window! It was quite nice to have the break for a month after missed as felt like the pressure was off... I feel like ive gained a bit of sanity back and think i've realised what was Oh was on about and feel like it took over me alot.
I'm glad to be back on track and looks like fertile days just after xmas day so can enjoy a few well earned drinks at the work do and over xmas period :) Hopefully a being a bit more relaxed might help things along to.
