Thanks Cherry will give it a go.

I'm feeling a bit negative at the moment. My OH has seriously low libido and is happy to go 7-10 days with no BD  the idea was to be more open this month so he would have more of an idea about timing....it seems like the opposite has happened and he feels more pressured and then makes excuses....I know he wasn't well last week but I do think he's putting it on a bit now so I'm feeling a bit resentful that all he has to to is get his end away and I have to remind and nag before it happens.

That's great zeni.... good luck with moving :) we'll be putting our house on the market in the next 1-2 months. Not looking forward to it..... lol

Welcome alipops, just let me know if and where to add you to the list

Thanks Twigpig - could you add me to 'awaiting OV' - currently CD4.

According to my App, it has predicted fertile days as: Sun (CD10), Mon (CD11), Tues (CD12) with predicted Ovulation around Wed (CD13). I've been monitoring my cycle via the app since October, so have a good bit of information in there now. Apparently, I average a 27/28/29 day cycle!

I used the same App when trying for my little boy, who is nearly 3 years old now. It took us 4 months to conceive him, although for one of those months life got in the way so we weren't actively trying really.

As usual though, once the whole idea of conceiving is in your head it does actually take over your thoughts, or is that just me?! I'm constantly wondering 'What if?' and thinking too far ahead!

Unfortunately Kirtsypoos, I don't think men get it. My husband certainly doesn't always compute the information I give him! I think some of that is to do with the fact that the whole baby situation isn't in their body, they get the easy end of it really. Also, I think as ladies we invest far more into the process of trying, emotionally by monitoring things/finding the window of opportunity. For my OH particularly, I think his motto is "there's always next month!" - which I completely agree with, if he's put in his required level of effort :rotfl:
  • Hi twigpig can you update me please? I'm in the two week wait at 4dpo.
  • I agree totally kitsypoos and alipops, it's sometimes frustrating to get across the urgency. There's just no way to say "fertile window" in any kind of romantic or sexy way! And of course there are often just other things that get in the way like illness or stress.

I'm glad i'm not alone on this Cherry - also I think men/perhaps people in general assume as we spend so long trying to avoid getting pregnant that when you want it to happen, it just will. When actually, the fertile window can be so small it's quite impressive when people hit that by 'accident' or 'by chance'!

That's exactly it alipops! We spent over 3 years on birth control and now he seems to think it will just happen....

Cherry that's so true! I started trying to be a bit coy about it and not really let him know that fertile week was a thing!

He's not 'feeling it' tonight either so I'm silently seething :o

I'm glad it's not just me,
Thankfully our fertile window this time will close the day after OH gets back from working away so hopefully won't need any encouragement after being away for six weeks.

Twig could you remove me from the lists please? DH and I had a long chat over the weekend and we've decided to do less tracking as it really doesn't seem to be working for us. I tried temping and never got any sort of pattern and OPK's also don't seem to work. While my cycles are so crazy I have no idea when I should even be doing the OPK's so I think I probably miss the window most months cause I'm expecting my cycle to be a lot shorter than it is.

We're going to try to BD every 2-3 days for the whole month and see if we have better luck
