AF showed up with a vengeance this afternoon. Worst cramps and heaviest I've had in a long time.

I'm focusing on my birthday trip this month now. I was considering not temping this month as I was getting so obsessed with rising temps last week, but my next gynae appt (about my PCOS) is this month so I want to be able to give them as much info as possible about my cycles.

Ab, when I got pregnant in October I took tesco chesty cough medicine containing guaifenesin (cost just over £1 for a bottle) took two teaspoons morning and evening from cd1 until ovulation.
It was the first month I tried and it may have helped us. Equally it might not have.
We kinda went all out that month though. Tried cough medicine, pineapple, SMEP and a fertility bracelet.
We've tried that again this month but didn't stick to SMEP religiously.
I'm not getting my hopes up but I guess I'll find out in a few days, though I'm still not exactly sure when AF is due as my cycles seem a little longer now since mc.

Well CD1.

I had a feeling it was on its way which is why I didn't test. When I fell pg last time my b00bs were really sore even before the BFP and I know my PMS symptoms are very similar to pg but I assumed the soreness would be a definite.

I've been feeling a bit poorly too. Which happened last cycle. Has anyone heard of cold/flu issues being a symptom of AF being due?

Well AF is now about 3 days late, 2 BFN's. The first month we started trying I had a weird 75 day cycle, which had never happened before, so really hoping this isn't another one of those! Also been noticing some EWCM which I'm trying not to read into

CD1 for me too. Took me by surprise as Ovia said it would be Sunday... looks like the drinks for my friends hen do tomorrow night is definitely solved then. AF is killing today..they really have got worse since i stopped taking the pill.

Is there an ideal cycle length? have had 28 days and now 26 days..maybe its my body just settling.

Sorry for your AF's Kirtsy, Athens and Zeni. Hope you have some nice wine/chocolate/treat in store, and better luck next cycle.

Zeni I don't know if there's an ideal cycle, but 26 days seems fine to me - you get 14 chances per year, when some ladies have a lot fewer. Though obviously I hope we are all graduated in under a year (PLEASE)!

ZenI 26 days is fine - it's the gap between ovulation and AF to keep an eye on. Should be min 10 days if possible, in a "perfect" 28 day cycle it would be 14 days. It's called your luteal phase - I had some 40 day cycles where luteal was only 9/10 days so I did some dietary supplements and acupuncture to try to lengthen it.

I also feel your pain on horrible AF after the pill...ouchy...enjoy that wine and chocolate xx
