Hi ladies,
I've been a bit quiet this month as I'm trying not to track things as much this month. Think I OV'd earlier this week and we DTD as much as we could but I'm not feeling it this month, feeling a bit sorry for myself if I'm honest. I think I am resigning myself to the fact that I will never get my BFP. I going to try and throw myself into Christmas to try and take my mind off things.
Sorry for the mini rant just needed to vent.
Hope everyone else is OK xx0 -
sorry your feeling down Butterfly, I get that feeling sometimes just after ov. I think its because you know there isn't much else you can do except wait. How long have you been TTC if you don't mind me asking?
I too can't imagine ever seeing a positive test. I have a friend in real life who I confide in, she is pregnant now but took her two years, no issues just took that long. She said the same that she genuinely never thought it would happen and then one month it just did. So I try to take hope from that and believe that one day it will happen. But its hard to stay positive all of the time xx0 -
Sending hugs to you all. I know it wasn't as long as A0503's friend but that is also what happened to us - 15 months of nothing for no reason, then here we are. I can't explain it which in a way is frustrating, but we got there xxOfficially Mrs B as of March 2013

Time does fly newthrift, hope you have a nice midwife, they can make all the difference in levels of stress. Do you have a scan date yet?
Hugs butterflybabe, we all feel a bit like that sometimes and envy woman no their dog seems to get pregnant in a 100 mile radius. We're all here if you need to rant more..... you will get your BFP!
As I mentioned a few times, I have 2 kids now and I'm so blessed for them. It took 18 months for our first so I know the pain, heartache and need to have a baby. Looking at other people pregnant and their babies and the having that un-describable pain and jealousy wondering why it's not us. We were on our way down the fertility route and a few days before our appointment got our BFP and it seemed a little unreal even after the scans....... we actually still went to our appointment not really being quite sure what to do next and if we really were pregnant.......
For anyone over 12 months, have you reached out to the gp yet? Some can help after 12 months......
My friend tried for 6 years, failed 2 rounds of IVF then fell pregnant not long after, they now have 2 kids. They don't have an explanation why it took so long, everything came back normal on both her and her hubbyTTC #3..........0 -
I've started the testing Twigpig even though it's not a year until January and I've already had one pregnancy (MMC). My GP is excellent and because of my age and how I have coped with the MMC she has been happy to get me started. I am hoping I don't have to go through with the full processes but if I have to then I feel happy it's been started.0

That's great rachylou, it takes a load off having a great gp and knowing that help is out there if/when you need itTTC #3..........0

butterfly. A0503 and Rachy I have been in exactly the same position as you all. It is a horrible and often lonely path you travel.
I found out on Tuesday that although the Hcg levels didn't double they did increase and have therefore referred me to a midwife at the local epu fir a scan in a couple of weeks to check if things are still progressing.
I'm really hoping it stick and everything works out as it has probably been the longest 14 months just to get a BFP.
I really hope it works out for you all. After 12 months we went to our gp all tests came back normal and they sent us away as had to have been trying for 2 years before our local NHS would take things further. Try pushing if your gp is like this.0 -

Midget this is EXACTLY what happened to us and now we have our sticky one....fingers crossed anyway! I have everything crossed that it's the same for you xOfficially Mrs B as of March 2013

Great news Midget and sounds very promising. I think the GP has just timed you wrongly by the sounds of it. Fingers firmly crossed for you.0

Midget did they happen to say what your HcG levels were? I had something similar last year when I got my BFP. NTNP had suspicions, tested, got a couple of TLP, went to the GP asking for blood test and HcG level was 48. The numerous health professionals I've seen have said they consider a HcG level over 5 as pg.
Not everybody's HcG level is the same. When I was trying for DD I was told they look for HcG levels to double every few days but with last year's BFP was told they just look for them rising.0
